I have recently made it a practice to post comments in prominent political articles in major newspapers that are about to have a primary or caucus. (I have done so in newspapers in Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Missouri, and Illinois. I attempted to do so in Puerto Rico, but their comments section appeared to be having some technical issues.) In these comments I give a list of reasons to vote for Rick Santorum. It has gone relatively smoothly. However, when I posted a comment in the Chicago Tribune, it was removed. I also noticed that they appeared to be systematically removing most of the pro-Santorum comments from the articles. The result is that most people looking at the comments would see almost entirely pro-Romney or anti-Santorum comments. It is their newspaper, and they have the legal right to do so, but it is somewhat revealing about their editorial processes and their ethics.
Like the Chicago Machine is going to allow an honest election... Obama wants Romney to be the Nominee. Why even pretend?
Illinois - back when I lived there in the 50s & 60s in nw suburbs - was controlled by Chicago lib voters, the way Pennsylvania has been/is controlled by Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
Looks like lib-Mitt is pounding Newt & Rick, pretty badly. The Chicago Machine has done its work, again.
Early returns have Romney with a commanding lead, but most of these early votes are from Chicago, where Romney is strong. Although Romney will probably win comfortably, I expect the gap to close considerably as the night wears on.
Well, I voted for Newt at 6:02 a.m. this morning, just after the polls opened.
Once again, my vote in this state doesn't matter...
So the Massachusetts Romneycare vs. Saul Alinsky Jr.
Oye, McCain2 it seems.
We’re all peons now!
CBS TV News calls Illinois for Romney by nearly 2-1 over Santorum.
Paul 3rd
Gingrich 4th
“Otherwise, were just handing it to 0bummer for another 4yrs of Misery & Hell.”
The we you are speaking of is the establishmentarians like Coulter,Rove,Fox News and a way to many supposed “conservative” radio talkshow host.
Oh, and don’t forget the sheeple who buy into the narative.
The ‘E team’ got the idea in people’s heads early that he was the only one with the money and the infrastrusture in place to win.
They constantly promoted him as the inevidible winner. Even when he wasn’t.
In the Newspaper after each primary Romney was almost always front page with a big picture of him smiling. While the other candidates got small stock photos off to the side.
Sometimes no photo at all.
I’m going to vote. Just not for Romney. NEVER FOR ROMNEY!!! Even in an illutionary representive democracy I will vote.
I will write in Palin Gingrich Cain or Mark Levin.
I don’t like to be all sour grapes if we lose, but I truly do not feel chicago’s elections can be trusted. They always come out the way the liberal machine wishes.
