This guy Chu like his boss Obama live in a green fantasy land. Their bizarre war on carbon energy sources is causing misery and impoverishing the United States.
Obama’s State of the Union address, that the future is in battery operated cars. He said that, by 2015, a million of these cars will be on American roads. So he put your money where his mouth is and gave GM $240 million to develop the flop that is the Chevy Volt.
He then gave a Korean company $150 million for the dangerous and inefficient batteries that went in these cars. Batteries that would last for less than 40 miles before needing 8 hours to recharge.

The question remains, though, as to whether the misery is the goal,
or if they truly believe in that utopia on the other side of the misery.
True communists do believe in the utopia, and justify any and all misery inducing policies that will lead there.
However, 0bama has another factor playing into his behavior - he HATES America.
