Ever since the Obamaville opened up near my new office in NYC (a temporary stint — I hate NYC and hate not being armed), I’ve taken to wearing a bullet proof vest and carrying a heavy metal cane.
Our shul had what I call our “shabbos gun goys” who are off-duty cops, rather well armed — including one on the roof with a long gun.
It’s expensive.
