An experienced TV weatherman has sued CBS broadcasting for sex and age discrimination claiming his job applications were ignored purely because he isn't a 20-somthing and female.
Hunter, who has been a weatherman for Fox5 in San Diego, sued the broadcasting giant in Los Angeles last week.
However CBS claims Kyle Hunter's complaint is frivolous and based on gross misstatements of fact and say they will vigorously defend themselves in court.
Hunter argues that his gender and age kept him from getting on-air weather jobs at CBS stations KCBS and KCAL despite his meteorology degree and years of experience.
According to the lawsuit, Hunter, who is over the age of 40, is seeking 'unspecified' damages.
He alleges that the CBS stations favour young, attractive women to induce more men to watch their prime-time newscasts.

LA always steals the Bay Area's hottest weather women...first Evelyn Taft and now Louisa Hodge.
wow! one of the best threads ever!
Hopefully this is the start of the ‘boomerang’ effect for the msm and their politically correct allies.
LOL - sorry ‘bout that. I should’ve posted a warning.
Is she forecasting snow on the mountains?
The lady morning news caster on Fox San Diego is lovely too.
Pix anyone ?
One of my co-workers in Austin is gay and he claims to have "known" one of the local tv weather men. I told him, as I look at the local channels, I couldn't tell if any of the weather men were NOT gay. Could be any of them.
Austin used to have a weatherman named James C. Fiddler. Absolutely horrible presence on camera - an old man who mumbled with his back to the camera half the time. But people tuned in because he sure knew the weather better than anyone else. But then Fiddler was caught doing little boys, lost his job and became "Fiddler the Diddler" in local gossip circles.
Yes, Dr. George Fishbeck at KABC Los Angeles - all time great weather guy!
Sports broadcaster Hannah Storm was tv weather girl in Houston early in her career. One of the local radio guys dubbed her “Miss Cold Front”. No idea what brought that on.
Just count your blessings every day, and build your family relationshops/personal growth etc., for the day you aren’t quite so in demand.
Friendly advice, but you probably don’t need it. :)
And that young lady is a supporter of big breasts!

She’s showing two big continents!
More importantly, these professionals seem more qualified for the job of reading the weather and keeping a viewer's attention.
I'll never forget the day I helped a pretty young lass who wanted to be a weather girl. She took the map (a huge dry wipe board with a state map and a national map back in those days) and drew a sun with sunglasses and crying clouds along with some front lines and temperatures.
She had quite the Southern accent as she did her review of the state map then she turned to the national map, motioned her pointer over New England and said "In the panhandle..."
?
That was the first and only time I've heard of New England referred to as "The Panhandle" although I can see where she might have thought that.
I didn't bother to correct her. I figured any station manager that would hire her wasn't all that interested in her knowledge of meteorology anyway.
I also knew a female student who was an absolute "10" from the waist up but had a huge butt and legs. I thought to myself how perfect for her if she got an anchor job where she sat behind a desk and performed the news. Her viewers would have no idea what the other half behind the desk looked like.
