Yep, been saying somewhat the same thing for years. People won’t pay attention until they’re hit hard in the checkbook and can’t feed themselves.
I once found a quarter that said “in God we rust” quite a few were released befor the mistake was found...those that were released are now collector coins...I gave mine to one of my son’s that has collected coins for decades...such coinage happens at the mint, coins double struct etc. One of the state quarters (don’t remember which) has a 3 legged bison (or some other animal) on it...now also a collectors coin...
It's past time to get with the dollar coin. After all, a buck buys what a quarter did when Nixon (who's at the root of our modern inflation woes) was president. Its purchasing power is about the same as a pre-WWI dime. Of course, that was the start of the Federal Reserve -- the other culprit.
I hope your job doesn’t involve analyzing data.
It was put there after they "Mistakenly" minted a few without it. They got blindsided by the outrage, then they added it. I don't care what Snopes says.
I don’t care what snope says either. You’d still have to find a source to cite, if you claim that IGWT was never part of the design, from start to finish. There’s a lot of steps involved in coin design and production. It’s possible some were minted by “mistake”, but to me the whole issue seems a bit over the top.
Good grief man, it wasnt on the coin, you tell me it was a mistake, because they said it was. Sure I trust them. You really thin engravers don't put exactly what they are told to put on the coins? Do you really think the dies are not checked numerous times? Why do you think they were moved in the first place? Do you really think there was not room on the coin face, when every coin created in my lifetime had the words clearly on the face of the coin?
I call B$ and you have zero proof that they did not leave them off intentionally, I have proof that they did leave them off, you only have their oops statement.
Revolution is also born from rich people with time on their hands.
Huh?
You’d have to prove that the motto was not initially part of the coin including the legislation, even and especially at the design stage, drawings, wax models, etc. Pretty tall order. Hey, knock yourself out.
I have coins, you have supposition, and maybe a little misplaced trust.
Obama wants cheaper pennies and nickels

If the coins bother you that much maybe you should get rid of them?
The coins are worthless so I don't have any of them anyway. That is not the problem it is the lying scum that are trying to erase our history and heritage, you are helping them out.
That’s certainly not my intention, and truly believe that in this instance, things aren’t quite as portrayed.
Agreed, there are those whom want to see that the IGWT motto expunged
from the coinage, no question about that.
Now here’s a question. Since a lot of financial transactions are now electronic bits and bytes - where’s the motto, that is after all, required by Act of Congress.
I have said for nearly thirty years the we would become a cashless society, one reason is Biblical the other more practical. Because they now have the ability.
People will demand it since it will be pretty hard to have an underground economy. Be impossible for the drug trade to exist,at least without government sanction.
Whether or not IGWT is on a coin is irrelevant to me, but the fact that there is a concerted effort by every facet of government to remove God from our history does concern me, as it should everyone.
There are no accidents in these matters they are all purposeful whether from the top or not.
Satan has many willful helpers, because they like they pay.
