Even their father, Prince Charles,and Uncle, Prince Andrew served in the military. IIRC, Andrew was flying choppers in and around the Falklands during the 1980s unpleasantness with the Argies.
It's an old family tradition you might say.
Their Grandmother, the Queen, also served in the Army, during WWII. She was a Driver, and a Mechanic!
