LAFAYETTE, Colo. A 19-year-old man was ticketed Wednesday for allegedly leaving his cat tied to a rock at a Lafayette Park.
According to the Boulder Daily Camera, Seth Franco took his cat to Waneka Lake Park to join him for a jog.
Apparently, the individual was trying to jog with the animal on a leash and the animal was either unwilling or unable to keep up, Lafayette police Sgt. Fred Palmer told the Daily Camera.
Franco allegedly secured his cat to a rock in order to finish his run around the park. A passerby spotted the cat being attacked by birds and called police.
Animal control responded and Franco was ticketed for animal cruelty.

Org has a problem with holding people responsible for animal cruelty. Treat ‘em in a decent way? Forget it. Drag ‘em, kick ‘em, cook and eat ‘em.....hey, it’s no one else’s business.
Sick.
I agree. I had a cat that was more or less leash-broken. I don’t think I would ever have tried jogging with him, but he would stay tied if I was working on something he didn’t need to be involved in or where he might get in the way and get hurt.
My animals are my property. I own them. I take good care of them. If I mistreat them, I will likely have to answer to God for being a cruel jerk, but that’s between me and Him. Everybody else should mind their own business.
Ping to #21
this guys is some kind of idiot!!!
Who takes their cat jogging??
See #22. You are welcome to your opinion, but livestock animals, working animals, and to some degree family pets are capital assets, and they are mine.
How about I come over to your house and tell you that I don’t like the way you maintain your car? Maybe you don’t change the oil often enough.
Same thing.
I hate to see people be cruel to animals. I would also guess that I have spent a lot more time and energy than you ever will out in the cold saving a calf or doctoring a cow or making sure that my animals were safe. I am as sentimental as anybody when it comes to dogs, cats, and horses, or even stupid ol’ cows. But sentiment is not reality.
Glad I’m not your animal companion, or any other kind of companion.
People who have no regard for animals usually have other forms of mental illness also.
First of all, you know nothing about me, so speculation on your part is foolish. But if you’re a veterinarian, as I gather from your post, then you deserve respect and thanks for what you do.
I understand that animals, including pets, are property. I also understand that God, while giving us dominion over the earth and the animals, entrusted them to our care and certainly does not expect us to abuse them. If we do, there are laws in place to address it. Those laws are what I was speaking of, and I am sure—or at least, I hope-—you don’t have a problem with them.
I was just wonder if she would throw up, if she saw me pull a calf and save the little fellows life.
Oh, I love meat....I’d have to say beef is my favorite.
Monkey, donkey, and camel, hm? Not surprised. :)
I am not a vet. I live on a small farm, and I grew up on a much bigger one. And you are right, I assume that you are not a farmer or rancher since you seem to have no understanding of Org’s quite reasonable point of view.
I don’t mean to offend.
“So if I tie my horse to the fence post and a fly bites him it is my fault. Well dang, what is the charge, horse fly neglect or horse neglect.”

Don’t be daft !!
Oh, don’t worry. You talk the same nonsense; I take no offense.
When jays are still small they will leave the nest and land in the back yard. Anyone or anything who even comes near them will be dive bombed by the parents.
Meanwhile, 3700 human infants were aborted today. But the lefties are upset about a cat.

A cat? Time for the funny farm.
So you have a hard time understanding rush, figures.
Too bad its not on You-tube, I’d watch it.
You are correct, and how many bird are killed and eaten by cats each year. Yet, it is all about the poor cat.
Cat juggling???
