Obamas Lie du Jour: There is nothing he can do, other than drill, to lower gas prices LIE!
by Christine ODonnell on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 3:11p
If I were a betting woman, Id make the following bet with President Obama and if any Dem takes the wager, Ill become a betting woman! In a childish, unpresidential tone, President Obama mocked Republicans saying we have a three point plan for bringing down gas prices; drill, drill, drill.
Im challenging Pres. Obama or Any Democrat with the guts to take this wager
If I can come up with a three point plan for lowering gas prices that does not even mention drilling, you (the Democrat) have to make a maximum contribution to the candidate of my choice. If I cant come up with such a plan, I will personally give a maximum contribution to the campaign of your choice.
Why would I risk having to contribute to Debbie Wasserman or Nancy Pelosis Reelection?!
Well, any poker player knows the answer I have a strong hand. I know I can come up with a three point plan for lowering gas prices that does not mention the word drill. I can come up with a plan that does not have anything to do with the economically sound move of drilling our own national resources a move that would also strengthen our national security. (Sorry, I couldnt resist getting that in there!)So heres my plan:OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) sets oil prices based on the U.S. dollar. Oil is traded in that currency as well. As our currency is devalued, the price of oil goes up. Economics 101 tells us what to do:
1.Cut government spending drastically
2.Start paying down the debt and dont raise the debt ceiling, at least not without serious measures to tackle the debt.
3.Balance the budget and reduce the deficit immediately. Bottom-line: Serious steps towards economic stability will strengthen the dollar. When the dollar grows stronger, gas prices will go down!!!
Pres. Obama is either flat out lying when he says there is nothing he can do to lower gas prices other than drilling, or he doesnt understand how gas prices are set or how our economy works. The election may have made Barack Obama President, but it didnt make him Presidential. What can you do with this tid-bit of knowledge? YOU can interject this truth into the course of public debate. Remind people that President Obama is directly to blame for sky rocketing gas prices because he has destroyed the value of the dollar!! Middle class Americans pay the price for Obamas failed policies literally.
1.Tweet, Facebook and call out the Democrats on their lie! This administration destroyed the value of our dollar and that is directly to blame for rising gas prices. And you and I foot the bill for their deception every time we fill up our cars.
2.Do we have any economic junkies among us? Want to crunch some numbers to see by how much wed need to strengthen the dollar in order to get gas prices back under $3? Want to chart the decline of the dollar with the rise of gas prices? Id love to hear what youve come up with.
3.Call into talk radio shows, write a letter to the editor remind voters that President Obama is lying when he says there is nothing he can do about gas prices other than drill! Remind the voters that as President Obama destroys our economy, the dollar is weakened and oil prices go up.
Together, you and I can start to unite around one effort
making sure President Obama is a one term president! God Bless,-Christine ODonnell
DIRECT LINK to the Tea Party Tribune
I somehow picked up the Facebook internal link
Why the Tea Party Tribune carrying articles from this fink Romney supporter?
Seems the only Drilling the Libs support is of Sandra Fluke
Christine O’Donnell used to be awesome, but she doesn’t agree with the majority here on FR, so she is evil and must be disdained. (off sarcasm)
She needs to get off her broom and start taking the bus. one stops where Hansen’s use to be. So she won’t have to walk far.
Kuh Ray Zee ....
“Christine ODonnell used to be awesome, but she doesnt agree with the majority here on FR, so she is evil and must be disdained. (off sarcasm)”
Yes, now we must hate her - along with about 100 others who used to be great but now we must hate.
Should read Jansen’s. Doesn’t matter, I don’t think she can read anyway.
Yep - all the feigned "purism" has warped a bunch of minds that I used to admire. They probably throw away their cars and buy new ones if a brake light fails because the car isn't "prefect" any longer.
Those comments are immature. A person can wear Tea Party labels all day long, but that doesn’t mean a lot.
What has Christine O’Donnell done as the leading figure to advance Tea Party principles since?
Others judge her accordingly. Convince these others of her TP virtue might win over some, but not by your comments as shown.
“Is it safe?”
Big ED: You’re bad... in a really great way. I love it.
One could ask anyone the same. What has Sir Napsalot done to advance Tea Party principles since?
One thing I will say for COD: she has worked to take on the George Soros funded CREW, and she apparently has a PAC that will fund conservative candidates for Congress in 2012, like SarahPAC.
Certainly she has a smaller budget than Sarah’s PAC but whatever it is, it’ll be for opponents of Democrat Obama operatives.
I am of the mind that those of us who are Tea Partiers don’t all think alike. I have no problem that some of my fellow TPers support Newt, others Santorum, some Paul and some Mitt. If we all thought alike, it’d be a pretty dull movement, wouldn’t it? Of course, we do agree on one thing: Obama must be the loser next November.
“Convince these others of her TP virtue might win over some, but not by your comments as shown.”
I’m not trying to convince you or anyone else of anything. My comment was an observation regarding the fickleness I see here whereby politicians, commentators, etc., are declared heroes, then zeroes/RINOS, then heroes again, ad infinitum, based on whether or not the FR “critic” happens to agree with their position on a particular issue on a particular day.
Bingo.
My goal is to fire Obama. Frankly, I think our entire field of Republicans is flawed. But all of them—even the sometimes silly Ron Paul—are going to be better Presidents than Barack Hussein Obama (mmm mmm mmm).
