Did open voting which allows Democrats and Independents to vote in the GOP primary account for difference in Santorum's victory totals in MS and AL over the last polls which showed him in 3rd place? In other words, the MS and AL polls only polled likely GOP voters and the real voter population included Democrats and Independents. Also, did the Democrats sway the GOP primary results? Did Santorum robo call Democrats to vote for him?
If you had half a brain you will remember Romney was predicted to win Mississippi.
Results are known to differ from the poling. They are not exacts, but they were close.
Don’t blame Newt’s losses on crossovers. He isn’t showing an ability to win anywhere.

The exit polls shown on Drudge as late as 6PM,and the Monday poll cited on FR showing RS losing BOTH states by about 10% were PHONY, trying to bump up the numbers for one of the others. Milt, what do YOU know about this? Bob
Drudge called Ms. (AND Al. earlier) for Romney before the polls closed for the 3rd place finisher in both states.
To say we will need them in NOV., those that are voting now are not going to vote for ours in the general, they are only playing havoc in this election.
We have a difference of opinion I can see, but there is no way I get the government I deserve, maybe you do.

I kind of doubt many people that voted down there pay a lot of attention to Drudge before voting. People don’t here anymore.
In a way, Romney did win last night. Drudge may have been being a smartass. He does that at times.
You know, first the talk around here was that all the dem crossovers are going to vote for Mitt because he can’t win and they know it.
People need to make up their minds. I myself think any of them could beat that slimy slug in the WH if they run a good campaign.

You are so green with envy which is a sin by the way. President Santorum will be the first social conservative that we have. Since we never had one before, it could be the best thing this country could ever have. We need to get back to being a moral country and the only one to do this is a President Santorum. Yep, and Santorum called them out. Trust me, NEWT has a plan and I trust NEWT to know how to handle all this.
Newt might have the greatest plans on Earth. The only thing he needs are votes. That is his problem. He can’t get people to vote for him in state after state. If he wants to be credible, he needs to change this. I tried to tell this to people before AL and MS but I was blasted saying I didn’t know anything. Well I am here again saying the same thing before PR and IL. Any changes for Newt????

Not meaning to start an argument just only wanting to get your feeling on mandates.
I personal feel I have more government than I deserve or want. I personally would prefer more individual freedom and less mandates from the gov’t, elites, organizations, etc.

I think this is correct. Many of his supporters are not contentious, combative people, so they skipped the pre-vote drama. I saw a lot of grass roots support for both Santorum and Gingrich on election day proper in the Jackson area. There was a little support for Paul about 2 months ago, and whoever supported Bishop Willard was too ashamed to show it at any stage.

I can’t speak for Alabama but Mississippi most certainly is. I saw one (1) person vote in the Democrat primary in the time I was at the poll, an older black lady. I saw several young black men vote in the Republican primary. I suppose they are Thomas Sowell or Alan Keyes fans . . .
I voted for Newt in GA. One thing I STILL like about Santorum, and in spite of his “warts...but they ALL have some...is his grassroots campaign strategy. This is the old way. People went door to door, or county to county, talked to people, shook hands, held babies, took pictures, etc. It lets the community know that the candidates see each voter as an individual, not taking anything for granted. Romney acts as if he is owed the nomination. Newt is Newt, but when he’s on, he’s awesome. But, I seriously think that he hurt himself when he attacked Romney and was too stubborn to see that the only person he was hurting was himself. That is Newt’s problem. He is stubborn. I agree with Michele Malkin and David Limbaugh, that although Rick Santorum is not my perfect candidate, he is the best man standing and still conservative. I’d love to see Newt pull this out, and I do hope, as I posted the other day, that both Santorum and Newt stay in, taking enough voted away from Romney to have a brokered convention. I personally would love to see Palin nominated to run against Obama. She is more than capable of taking him on and turning him into mincemeat. Why do you think he (Obama) has already started attacking her? He surely thinks it is possible.

Polling firms don’t eliminate people in the “wrong” party when they poll. They ask if the person is planning to vote in the primary, and if so, they count their pick.
For your conspiracy to be rational, the conspirists, who according to the conspiracy WANT to make it look like Santorum has support, would have had to have LIED to pollsters about voting in the primary, thus suppressing Santorum’s poll numbers, and then showed up to vote to make him win.
If they were trying to help Santorum, they would have told pollsters they were voting for Santorum.
I doubt that many democrats are motivated enough to show up to vote just to mess up our primary. After all, REPUBLICANS are motivated enough to show up to vote.
I don’t know which state you were in. And I’m trying to figure out how you knew which names were democrat, and which were republican.
If they were in different lists, doesn’t that mean they were voting in the democrat primary, not the republican primary?
Or are you claiming that in your state, democrats show up, sign in to a “democrat” voting list, and then vote in the republican primary?
In my state, there’s one list of voters, and if there are two primaries, you tell them which primary, and THAT is the list they put you on, democrat or republican.

It may have been the result of low turnout in the suburban counties where Romney needed to roll-up large raw vote totals to overcome his weakness in the rural counties.
