I guess its better than the iPod filled with his speeches he gave to the Queen.
(ABC News) President and First Lady Obama gifted UK Prime Minister and Mrs. Cameron a one-of-a-kind Braten 1000 Series Grill hand made by Engelbrecht Grills and Cookers of Paxton, Ill.
The grill normally retails for $1,895, but this one cost significantly more not only because it was a nicer version, but because the White House insisted that every part of the grill be American-made.
Kyle Bloomstrand, vice president of Engelbrecht Grills and Cookers, tells ABC News that the body of the grill is the same one as is always for sale, but that since normally some of the parts in their upscale grill are made in other countries, that had to change for this official White House gift. Everything in this custom-made grill was Made in America, which required some parts the wheels, for instance to be custom-made.

So Obama, wanting to give a made in the US gift, gives this grill...but first he has to mandate that all the parts of THIS ONE (unlike the others) be made in the US.
Is it Ridgewood? I agree that’s good!
ROFL! You owe me a new keyboard!
American DVDs are playable ,as long as you unlock your player with a code sequence first. i.e. tray open, enter code ,tray shut.
Hardware stores sell all the connecters and plugs needed to convert anything from US to UK specs ,be it gas or electric.
There was a picture a few years ago in a paper of David Cameron operating a grill.
Cheers.
GADS! are Americans really able, now to make a whole something without the help of other countries???????? WOW!
So why can’t the manufacturer make the whole thing himself?
For Americans.
Anyone wanting a fancy grill should check the airport dumpsters after the Prime Minister departs ;-)
The Queen probably wants to trade up to this ...
Wonder how many Solar Panels it will take to get the grill up to temp? Being as Barry hates anything but “Clean” Energy sources.....
Cameron woulda liked this one better ...
"'Ees gone off his bloody rocker, 'eee 'as."
There is that, and I wonder if the recipient has a known interest in cooking or grilling, too. Looks like a pretty nice unit...I have a couple friends who enjoy culinary adventures and would LOVE one of these.
(He’s still a jug eared jackass, but I have to agree with those who say this is a nice gift.)
“Besides, isnt there a Protocol Agent that could advise you on these matters?”
You mean one of his donors or Chicago lackeys he hired?
Naaaahhhhh...
I wouldn’t let anyone in his circle wipe my dog’s butt.
I just found the pics; didn’t go thru it far enough first time. Thanks, DY.
Yes , Ridgewood
summer before last my kids came from North Carolina and wanted to go to Ridgewood for Bar b q. We went for lunch.
In the room where we were there was a commotion and the Fire Rescue came in with a stretcher and loaded up a man and sirens blaring took him off to a hospital. We was like me, grandad.
His wife accompanied him
The forty something children stayed and finished their Bar B Q.......... it was Ridgewood!!
True story
I agree that this is a nice and, indeed, an appropriate gift.
I checked the menu for tonight's state dinner, and it is also appropriate.
One of my rare evenings with a generous shot of Hiram Walker Special Old Rye Whisky. I almost choked with laughter at your observation. True, very true nonetheless.
I wonder if the two worthy gentlemen drink whisky? The world situation may well drive them to it.
I want one!
