Southern states Gingrich's last chance?
2012 candidate weighs in on primaries
(Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...
If the election results come out the way the polls are posted at the Drudge homepage, it looks like Mitt is going to wrap it up........which also means America is finished.
I just cannot believe how many people don’t know Romney’s record and find it troubling.
How stoopid are these loons?
Looking good ain’t a resume of accomplishment. it’s just Hollywood and B list actor in stated stories that only sometimes make sense.
Maybe my Demand friends had it right the other night “The TEA Party has ruins the republican party”.
I just may have to eat the words I had for them if this Bozo prevails.
Sad but true.
Difference is, Newt never directly said Santorum should drop out. Fox twisted Newts statements, they and Santorum did the interpretation.

Skillfully provided by that shill for Romney to suppress the anti-Romney vote.
I just don’t get it..do people honestly believe Romney can beat Obama, and thats why they are voting for him..What in the He** happened to voting for country, I am continuing to pray that Gingrich can win tonight.

Two of my best friends are in full support of Romney. Both are true conservatives, both families are Notre Dame. They want Obama out and feel Romney has the best chance of beating Obama. They were for Newt after SC, but his momentum loss scared them. Ohio, early voters also. I will be honest, if it had been just Santorum and Romney, I also would have voted Romney for the same reason.
American idol, the bachelor the super bowl the final four etc. etc. Thats what happened to alot of voters.Bread and circus’

Every single Mormon I know is voting for him. that’s more 200 people right there.
I also have some others here in California (not LDS ) who plan on voting for him, even after I help them understand the candidates, the issues and their plans.
Hell, it took me a month and a half before my Mom understood it. All it took was the issues of abortion, 2A and Romney Care before she finally understood there is mo reason for a Mitt candidacy.
Just so irritating. the guy doesn’t ever say anything concrete and people are just projecting their hope into him.
Crap product and they are still buying it.
I tell them fine, you got issues with Newt then at least do yourself and America a favor and vote for Rick.
Can’t stand this.
Absolutely, they’re cloning the “empty suit” Obama campaign strategy. Get up there, say vague platitudes, and let the audience project their “hope” onto you. The only time Newt and Rick have done really well is when they savagely attack Romney by filling that “projection screen” with their own dark images. Newt did it with the Bain Capital film in South Carolina and Rick did it by nailing him on Romneycare in the Florida debate. If this campaign is a beauty contest with no mudslinging, Romney would win it every time because, in the words of some young women from a CPAC interview, “He LOOKS like a President (swoon)!” Newt and Rick really need surrogates out there slamming and smearing Romney every day. When they lay off the attacks, his natural “storybook” qualities make him rise back up to the top. Only strategy I can see working now...Newt drops out and goes full bore attack dog on Romney, while Santorum plays good cop at the top of the ticket.
What makes it so hard for you to believe that Romney couldn’t beat Obama?
It’s Santorum who I feel is unelectable at this point. His voice is grating and his delivery is all too often off. He picks the wrong fights over and over again.
Romney does best at focusing on economic issues, and that is what this race will come down to. Romney is able to come across as always presidential and as someone who can solve problems. I backed him in 2008 because I thought he was clearly the most conservative of the candidates and could voice himself clearly and stand toe-to-toe with a Democrat. I might have supported Thompsom, but he never convinced me he had the drive.
This year I’m backing Newt for the same reasons I backed Romney, other than I see him having the advantages of being far more aggressive and far more conservative.
Now, having listened to Fred’s radio show over time and having seen Huckabee over time, I’m still not sure I’d think the same way as I did in 2008. But I still see Romney as electable, if not as ideal as Newt.
What strikes you about Romney that he can’t beat Obama? He’s “too white?”
If I were the nominee, I’d just do a commercial with the debt clock behind me and perhaps point out when a plumber’s entire wages went by, a doctor’s, a professional basketball player’s.... Just let it run. I’d refer to it constantly as “the Obama debt.” It’s the one issue that’s not going away, and it’s only getting bigger. It also pretty much undermines Obama’s entire agenda.
Well, he has NO chance but, yeah ... this is it. *shrug*
Santorum 2012
I definitely believe it is the media saying only Romney can beat Obama. Sickening. Of course, Romney’s money figures in too. He was bashing our guys here in Fla. long before our primary. Many conservative talk show hosts were uninformed and saying things which did not help too. Fox has been shameless. Neal Boortz is saying that although he wants Newt he would vote Romney after looking at the polls and how he could beat Obama. Do they not understand those polls will shoot straight down after Obama dumps on Romney?
I will say Romney would have a very difficult time explaining away Romneycare, which is a mirror reflection of Obamacare. I just think the central fights are going to be over the economy and the debt.
I hope he doesn’t give up. Santorum has far fewer committed delegates than Romney or Gingrich, but I think he should stay in, too. Romney is relying on the GOP-E, combined with the Mormon church and the several million dollars of his personal money he has already spent, to give him the nomination.
