California Could End Up Deciding Republican Presidential Nomination
Megan Goldsby, CBS Local - San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) The Republican presidential contest remains unsettled, and California could be the state that finally decides it. Super Tuesday turned out much like a childrens birthday party everybody left with a prize, according to former California Republican Party chair Ron Nehring.
Everyone is going to stay in this contest throughout the month of March, said Nehring. Id be very surprised if anyone dropped out.
KCBS Doug Sovern Reports: Republican Presidential Nomination Could Be In California's Hands Even though he didnt land a knockout punch, Mitt Romney remained the front-runner and added to his already significant lead in delegates according to Bill Whalen with Stanfords Hoover Institution.
Youre going to hear a growing chorus of Republican insiders, and youre going to see more Republican leaders in Washington and elsewhere come out of the woodwork now to endorse Romney, and essentially try to tell the other fellas that they consider the race over, and its time to move on, said Whalen.

Either Rove or Morris said they thought Romney would get only half the California delegates. I was surprised they were that pessimistic for their boy.
Curiously, Republicans are not allowed to vote for Democrats in the Republican primary this year. Makes it a lot easier to beat the Democrats that way.

The difference between California 1972 and California 2012 are striking.
Reagan wouldn’t be elected Governor if he were to reincarnate and run today.
Hey! I’m in California and so is JimRob :-) Maybe we can throw this thing to Gingrich.
That was the California of 30 years ago. Things have changed for the worse since then. Where it went horribly wrong I can’t say, but it has gone horribly wrong none the less.
