Why Louis C.K. Dropped Out of RTCA Dinner (Free Republic mentioned)

Amid pressure from conservatives, the comedian Louis C.K. is pulling out of hosting duties at this year's Radio and Television Correspondents Association dinner.

Fox News's Greta Van Susteren yesterday called on journalists to boycott the dinner because of offensive and sexually explicit remarks Louis C.K. had made about Sarah Palin. The news that Louis C.K. would be hosting the dinner was criticized on Monday by Media Research Center president Brent Bozell and picked up the same day by the Free Republic's Kristinn Taylor, who later tweeted the news to Van Susteren.

Louis C.K.'s agent told CNN's Peter Hamby that the comedian was pulling out because "he just didn't want to do it anymore."

Taylor calls this afternoon with a different interpretation: "That's a cop-out," he said. "But it's a polite, professional way of withdrawing."

Taylor also said C.K. should never have been invited in the first place, and attributed the invitation to the liberal bias of the Washington media.

"It's because he said those things about Sarah Palin that the D.C. media thought it was OK," he argued. "If he had said those things about Michelle Obama, no way in hell he would've been invited."

Here’s a link to a pretty funny article on the Politico site called “Mitt Romney Fights Loser Label”.

You know it’s bad when Politico is giving you tips on how to improve :-)))) Seriously, though, it’s about putting lipstick on a pig - being even phonier and more disingenuous (which is a big part of the problem we conservatives already have with Mittens!).
