After all, since he's now "guilty", they are both "connected" to him...
Two thumbs up from the Founders!
So in your mind it was OK to murder Jose for the sins of his sister in laws family???Idiot!
Wonder how many LEOs they put on this dragnet? They've got over 65 LEOs working diligently in Utah to execute the former paratrooper who handed the SWAT team its ass:

I am more worried about the SWAT donut munchers that killed him in front of his family than any associates.
Guilt by family association, eh?
Say, is William Edward Wallace the famous Scots patriot who cried “I wanna lick boot leather!” as the English were putting him to death?
Well yes, since he was “connected” to 3 people merely accused, even possibly guilty of a crime, let’s assume it was proper to murder him!
do I really have to put a sarc tag in here?
so, this clean former soldier was shot and killed because members of his wifes family sold..... pot??????
Please explain what crime the DEAD guy committed?
This article and the arrest is an attempt by Sheriff Dipstick (Dupnick) to cover his A$$ and to give them a chance to prevail in the lawsuit by his widow for their negligence, and the killing of her husband.
There is NO justification for this type of SWAT attack. The militarization of the Police is an extremely dangerous trend.
Dupnick will eventually be removed as Sheriff. The County and those involved will loose the lawsuit against them. Hope fully this type of insanity will stop.
Remember, Sheriff Dipstick is the guy who blamed Congressman Gilford’s shooting (and the murder of the Judge) on the Tea Party. (again without a shred of evidence)
So?
Your name doesn’t fit you, shame that. It’s obvious that knowing someone who is in the illegal trade means you should die sans judge, jury, rule of law, etc. Right? I’m counting now... up to my toes now... on how many people I know whom I would suspect are involved at one level or another in the drug trade. I believe the dead perp that you are so eager to posthumously declare guilty was working the night shift in a mine, and was sound asleep when the notably amateurish Pima authorities decided that this was the perfect moment to save the Republic. Thanks to people like you Sir William, more of the same is now guaranteed. Thanks for doing your part to defend freedom. (uber-sarc)
Please change your name to King Richard’s pawn.
And, if the family was perfect? I suspect you would have found a different reason to cover for bad cops. Guess what WWW? The system is broken, and cops as well as the people are suffering. Failing to examine the situation guarantees more of this, which from the sound of things, is evidently OK with you. The good thing about your name WWW? It’s hard to forget?
I don’t recall anyone ever saying the dead husband/father/son/brother had innocent family members.
Is it a crime to defend your home against invasion?
It has been 10 months since the former Marine was shot 60+ times in front of his wife and son. They’re only now arresting folks connected to this case? Didn’t they have things in their possession on May 5, 2011 that warranted arrest? Or did I miss something?
For those who haven’t read the short article: The dead man’s sister-in-law has been charged, along with her father and her sister, of “illegal control of enterprise, marijuana possession for sale, fraudulent schemes and artifice and five counts of money laundering.” So the dead man’s wife’s family MAY be crooked. I’d guess they are, actually.
And it only took an additional 10 months of investigation to do it...
I suspect the son of my brother-in-law’s brother may have done something illegal...so should I be a target of a home invasion by the Pima County SWAT Team? Would they give me time to get to the door and find out who they are before they broke the door down?
“Jose Guerena died last year after being shot dozens of times by SWAT team members serving a search warrant to his south side home. Reports state that when his wife told him someone was at their door, he woke up and grabbed his assault rifle. The family has since filed a $20 million wrongful death suit against the Pima County Sheriff's Department.”
Our state doesn’t have a capital offense called “having pot smokers in your family.”
