Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich is betting on Alabama. The former house speaker is spending a lot time here leading up to the Alabama primaries March 13.
Gingrich made three stops today and sat down with FOX6 news anchor Scott Richards "one on one" tonight. They spoke about a variety of topics including the current situation with Iran and Gingrich's Republican primary election win in his home state, Georgia.
Gingrich also said that, as a fellow Southernor, he will appeal to Alabama conservatives in the Alabama GOP primary next week.
Since Alabama conservatives have a long tradition opposing legalized gambling, Scott asked Gingrich if he was worried since the biggest contributor to a pro-Gingrich Super PAC is also the richest gambling operator in the world.
Gingrich said he does not talk to Sheldon Adelson about gambling. Gingrich said he appreciates his support because he shares Adelson's concern about the safety of Israel.
Newt should hammer on Romneycare/Obamacare and the consequence of the loss of freedom including religious freedom as being suggested by Russ today.
We need 3-way tie on delegates or denying Romney the 51% majority to force brokered convention at which Newt will get nomination locked up as he will shine like a star.
I hope Newt should not try to peel votes or delegates from Santorum but to find the way to get it from Romney who must lose badly from the southern states as the rest mostly eastern states which are more liberal therefore will go to Romney and these states have winner-take-all.
It’s time to get in this race. If you live in AL, get bumper stickers and yard signs, make phone calls, talk to friends. If you don’t live there, talk to any friends or relatives who do.
Either Newt or Rick, get out there and let’s stop Romney.
I spoke with Newt's campaign office earlier. They say they NEED help by Newt supporters making phone calls. Please volunteer/put out Newt signs. They say, the south is a battleground. The negative ads in MS and AL are what voters are seeing. They say, talking to undecided voters does helps. They told me that Palin wants to campaign for Newt but Fox will not allow her to/tied to her contract. ( I wish that woman would leave Fox/her life) She wants to help him. Please don't give up Newt supporters. If you are in MS and AL, get out and help Newt.

But it also tells all republican voters that Romney can’t win against Obama because he cannot rely on the south and liberal-lite cannot compete against real liberal Obama in the blue states.
First thing first, Newt has to get to brokered convention. If Romney get nominated by getting 51%, there is nothing to speculate or debate. Together Newt and Santorum have to stop Romney then go on to stop Obama.
Romney will not be able to beat Obama because they are both liberal and pro-same sex marriage. You want to beat an incumbent President, you have to present a vast and favorable contrast between you and your opponents. And if Romney gets elected, we just have Obama ideological twin in the Whitehouse.
Newt and Santorum need to attack Romney on the followings as there is no time to be a nice guy:
1. Romneycare is the same as Obamacare because Romney staff advised Obama how to draft healthcare bill.
2. Romney already said he would not repeal the individual mandate.
3. With Romney/Obamacare, individual liberty will be stripped away for federal agents will control your doctors and your health. They can deny your health services using red-tape or many reasons, similar to communist countries.
4. They will violate religious freedom or your conscience. One good example is the recent HHS mandate that all religious organizations have to have insurance policy which provides birth-control pills and arbortifacient pill or abortion pill RU-486. Failing to do so, each catholic hospital or employer will have to pay $2,500 per employee per year!
5. They will force death panel on frail and aging senior citizens. They will reduce Medicaid. Older citizens are deemed as useless by liberals.
6. They might fine you for having large families as Health Secretary Sebelius recently said we could save money and use the saving to provide birth-control pills due to the fact that there will be less babies born. Worse yet, one-child Chinese style family or world population control will be imposed on our society (Bachman).
7. Through out his past and current campaign, Romney shows that he can combatant and down right nasty, win-at-all-cost, a character which make one wonder about his virtues and moral.
8. Both Romney and Obama strongly favor homosexual lifestyle and same-sex “marriage” . Are you ready to witness your pastors or priests being sent to jail because they refuse to give the homosexual couple a service or Mass in church in front of your children? Same-ses lifestyle is accepted, morality of a society will break down.
