Gone too far?? No, its not anything like a July 44' Valkyrie Conspiracy. GI's should have their say, they put their lives on the line. They want a GI who doesn't Gripe??? Lots of Luck!!

1) We are not required to follow unlawful orders, regardless of who gives them.

2) We are required to follow the orders of the POTUS, whether we like it or not. That’s the game we signed up for. ETS if you don’t like it.

Marine Sgt. Gary Stein first started a Facebook page
Therein lies the problem. Real Marines belong out in the bush, not on FB.

A conservative Marine being muzzled. Meanwhile, Obama personally calls a promiscuous leftist “law student” activist to congratulate her on stepping up and speaking out publicly.

He has been in the Marine Corps for 10 years. I wonder if he will make it to 20 years. There is going to be a lot of downsizing in the Marine Corps. It really pisses me off when I think of all of the troops who re-enlisted knowing that re-enlistment would mean more deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, now they are getting kicked out at mid career.

It used to be that most officers even refused to register with a particular political party, because they wanted two things: non-partisan military leadership based on ability, not political connections; and so the military would not be friends with one party and enemies of another, come appropriations time.

This worked until the Democrat party turned on the military, as well as our national allies who had fought and in some cases died while standing with our soldiers.

As much as the military wanted to be non-partisan, from that point while they would be cordial with Democrats, as Americans, as individuals they stopped supporting them politically.

So the boundary between acceptable and unacceptable behavior among military personnel has changed. So much so that the Pentagon advised Bill Clinton of at least a dozen military bases and an equal number of ships he was advised to not visit, as his security “could not be guaranteed.”

But still the Pentagon strives to keep personnel from expressing overt contempt or even hatred in response to contempt and hatred from the Democrat party, which feels no need to condemn the contempt and hatred expressed towards the military by its members.

This, along with endless, cruel and stupid social experimentation by the Democrats, are just two more burdens our military personnel have to bear.

Having read some of the comments at the listed link and viewing the agree/disagree votes, I've concluded that an overwhelming majority believe one (who volunteered to serve) should obey an “unlawful order”. Strange .... guess if it ever comes down to round us up because some of us decent, only a few will disobey the “unlawful order”. Free Speech in the Military? That part of the argument I understand. The “unlawful order” and the overwhelming majority saying follow the “unlawful order”, I do not understand.

Soldiers, sailors and Marines should avoid making any kind of political or partisan statements while in uniform. The military is not partisan and the uniform should not be dishonored by such activity.

“When we assumed the soldier we did not lay aside the citizen,” from then-Gen. George Washington’s June 26, 1775, letter to the Provincial Congress is inscribed inside the apse.
