Then play her own words On Air. Play them every day for a month. All he accomplished was legitimizing the others attacks IN THE EYES OF THE LIBERALS is the point being missed. He lowered his show to their standards and now this will be the accepted standard.
The testimony was BAIT pure and simple. It was taken hook, line, and sinker. Calling the testimony repulsive, disgusting, trashy, etc would refer too what was said. Had he stayed in that area? No problem. The Liberals would have been very frustrated too say the least. They were looking for the response they got.
I'm not questioning his right to free speech in the least. Sure he can say anything he wants. Saying some things just simply is not smart even if it is the truth. If we all said to persons what we think or really felt {especially ones making us mad or we disagree with} most of us would be walking around with missing teeth.
Yet....Rush has earned the largest radio audience in history and hundreds of millions of dollars doing just that.
Rush tends to be correct most of the time, but he has his moments. And those moments usually appear pretty bad.
In many ways ...Rush got a wake-up call and I do sincerely hope folks put aside their ‘listener loyalty worship’ and evaluate the sponsors he brings onto his show. As many here are wanting to ignore the very fact that people buy from a sponsor on Rush, keep in mind the organizations that these “sponsors” backed. And that Rush knew it too, as he admitted on Monday.
Yes, buyer beware. Just because a sponsor is on the Rush Limbaugh Show doesn't mean your money isn't ending up in the coffers of the likes of MoveOn.org or that your personal information is as protected as you might think.
I think Rush has taken your view, that he shouldn’t have made it personal. I also think if he’s kicking himself for anything it’s that he fell into the trap set by the Left. I don’t expect he’ll make that mistake again.
I believe you are nit picking. If you are really a Rush listener, you know he gets outrageous from time to time, uses humor and parodies and over the top stuff.
Most of his listeners enjoy it. We like a little entertainment with our news and commentary, but he’s not ‘just an entertainer.’
If you think he was wrong, fine. I think you took the bait as did his pathetic sponsors, leaping to placate the sort of people who would probably never use their products anyway unless they gave them away.
Just reading that pious, sanctmonious screed from the computer back-up guy was sickening enough.
Rush himself seems to think he went over the top with comments that drifted into being personal about the woman and maybe he did. I wasn’t offended and neither was anyone else, except the fake, phony offense of the left.
When the left and the NOW group starts objecting to slurs on conservative women, they may deserve some respect.
They don’t now.
