WASHINGTON (AP) - The Obama administration is for the first time citing Vatican City as a potential hub for money laundering.
The State Department's annual International Narcotics Control Strategy Report released Wednesday identifies the Holy See as one of 68 countries or jurisdictions "of concern" for money laundering or other financial crimes.

If the Pope had any intestinal fortitude he would lay the smack down on Barry and his Muslim buddies.
What does that mean?
Time has come for a revisit to Pope Urban’s call for a crusade
That’s just the most recent story. In 2010, investigators seized $30 million from the Vatican Bank and the Pope issued new laws regarding money laundering. A European banking council is going to issue a ruling this summer on whether the steps have been enough, and the latest arrests don’t bode well for their getting a passing grade.
What you said.
BOY Freepers are on same length yeah well they did show Godfather movies this weekend on AMC TV one of them was Godfather 3
The trendy thing to say is to praise Godfather I and II to the heavens, and to ridicule Godfather III, but I thought III was still pretty good - certainly way better than most of the crap that we see nowadays. Maybe not great, but good.
Maybe the thugs from Chicago should remember what religion is practiced by the original mafia.
I picture that an entity from the UN will offer to help the Catholics with their “money-laundering problem”
Yes, they, the Obama Inner Circle, want “payback”. It is going to get rough now. The 100 plus bishops taking them on over HHS are going to get “payback” now. The gates of hell will not even prevail against that church, how idiotic they are to take such a force on is really something to behold. These must be interns in their 20s and 30s at the Justice Dept. that think they see something. Get out the popcorn. You KNOW who is going to win this one.
As someone else said, I thought I was going to see The Onion as the source or a “/sarc” tag on this story.
Even if the allegations are true — and let's be honest, there is a history of problems with banking operations in the Vatican, and Italian politics and finance are not exactly the most up-and-up in the world — this shows incredible political stupidity. What president in his right mind would do something like this in an election year? It would be comparable to the governor of Michigan opening a corruption probe of General Motors and the UAW at the same time half a year before his re-election date.
There are some things you just don't do.
In fact, this is so politically idiotic that I seriously wonder if it's something that was done by a career staff member who is politically tone-deaf, and if Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama decided they couldn't stand in the way of a senior staff recommendation because if they tried to postpone or delay things, once they got involved, the whole mess would blow sky high.
Those of us outside the beltway sometimes assume that presidents have huge control of the levers of government. That is not necessarily the case. Just as the career civil service people pretty much run the Department of Defense's day-to-day operations, most Washington bureaucracies operate largely autonomously of whoever happens to be in the White House, and people at the cabinet secretary level sometimes find out very late in the process what their career staff have been doing.
If the fools, idiots, and parasites only know what they inflicted on themselves November 4, 2008. On second thought, they probably did and do not care...as long as they get their freebies. But, in the end, when their usefullness has run its course, all the freebies they are going to get is a trip to the graveyard.

Yuppers.
I think you know what it means.
If the Church was as concerned about God as they are about power, money, and personal gain things might be a bit different.
