Students Accused of Racism for Chanting "USA USA"

Political correctness is killing patriotism in the United States. Apparently, it is no longer acceptable to chant "USA" after a high school basketball game victory. Chanting USA is now considered a "racial incident." Watch the video here.

When the final whistle blew Saturday, Alamo Heights celebrated a convincing victory over San Antonio Edison.

Alamo Heights Head Coach Andrew Brewer said he was proud of his team.

"Tremendously proud,” Brewer said. “Tremendously. It's the best group of kids."

But it was just after the trophy presentation when the coach was not proud of the chant coming from Alamo Heights fans.

"USA, USA, USA," they chanted.

San Antonio Independent School District officials took the chant as a racial insult to a school with all minority players from a school with mostly white ones.

I think the school district should be asking instead, “Why didn’t the San Antonio Edison fans JOIN IN the chant of USA! USA!?”

IF that is true, it is only because we're standing around and allowing it to happen.

Allowing a bunch of nose-picking occupests to cow us into the corner is about as UN-American as it gets.

This is just another strike at free speech as most patriotic Americans are using the "USA" chant to drown out the occupier-protesters who want to interrupt the conservative message.

Meanwhile, the wussified, public-school created, faux conservatives stand around with one finger in their mouth, and another in their noses, and when the left says "boo", they swap fingers.

For that type of game it's an unusual victory chant, so there must have been a reason.

If the opposing team was mostly illegal, then it is not racism at all, just good old fashioned patriotism and acknowledging the facts. The idiot left only sees things through racial sunglasses.

From reading the article, it sounds as though the chant of USA was meant to be inflammatory. In that case, it was probably inappropriate, but nothing we haven’t seen before. What about the chants of “bullsh!t” when a ref makes a bad call?

But racist? How stupid are these people? How stupid has our society become? We’ve elevated racism to be considered a heinous crime. And now, we’ve completely thrown out the meaning, so that almost anything offensive to the listener, can be branded racism.

American is not a race. So, USA doesn’t promote a race. Therefore, if race isn’t involved in a chant, how can it be racist? It could, if one wanted to persecute the kids, be considered xenophobic.

Oh, please-they all live in the USA-SAISD is just trying a new spin on a decades-old rivalry. Alamo Heights has always been a Gucci school-nothing to do with racism, just snobbery. Even in my HS days, I knew plenty of students at AH who were as Hispanic as I am-they just had wealthier parents and lived in a la-de-da neighborhood-the students from less affluent schools didn’t like them because they were snobs.

I heard the story on WOAI. The Alamo Heights kids said the other team was yelling first, calling out “Alamo Whites” at them, at which point they began calling USA, USA!

Well, I am surprised the “liberals” allowed the offending school to be named after the Alamo.

After all,the Alamo was where the invading “racist” Texans fought to the last man against the noble Hispanic army of Santa Anna.

At least that is how todays “politically correct” history books probably portray it.

About the only thing which will stop this insanity called public education would be if all parents of conservative persuasion would remove their kids from these Marxist training centers.

The loss of per/student funding would collapse these communist enclaves and if we are lucky most of the communist union teachers would be tossed out of a job, a job they do very poorly.

I remember a time when you were always very careful what you said around religious people, no more. I remember a time when you would be ostracized if you showed disrespect to the National Anthem or the flag. No more. I remember a time when the communists were the bad guys. No more, we are. I remember a time when there was shame if you got knocked up prior to being married. No more. I remember a time if you were caught playing butt pirate with another male you would be embarrassed. No more it is now pride.

I believe all these changes can be laid directly at the feet of our public schools and the spawn of their twisted teachings were carried on into higher education and create a media which promotes vile behavior and ridicules what were once strong family values. If the communist factories of higher education were not pumping out journalists of questionable integrity, there were creating hoards of vile lawyers bent on destroying every single thing the founders gave us.

Destroy the public school system before it destroys the country.
