Former President Jimmy Carter expressed concerns Tuesday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may be too willing to go to war with Iran.
I dont think thats his first preference, but I think hes much more eager to go to war with Iran than President Obama [is]. And I was glad to see President Obama discourage that immediate resumption of hostilities between Israel and its neighbors that the Israelis seem to be inclined to do, the former president said in an interview with The Washington Times-affiliated Americas Morning News radio broadcast.
Mr. Netanyahu is in Washington this week to meet with Mr. Obama and other American leaders about the Iranian nuclear program, and Mr. Carter said my hope is that President Obama will prevail and we can avoid war with Iran.
I think the economic sanctions would be adequate, Mr. Carter added. War with Iran can and should be avoided.

Jimmy Carter: Go chase a rabbit.
When this freakinâ zombie is finally pushing daisies, I’m going to travel to his grave and piss on it. Oh my.... that was insensitive of me to say...
No wait.....
That pathetic old coot is still alive?
And Andrew Breitbart is dead?
One wonders.
and carter has wet dreams on the crushing of this country.
That Obama always keeping secrets from the people,
I didn’t know we had developed “Iron Dome” and
shared it with the Israelis.
What a pathetic, insulting creep. I seriously doubt that Bibi is eager for any war. He knows what it means first hand. However, sometimes adult decision have to be made. Carter does not understand that.
Here is the tactical problem:
Iran is well aware of Israel’s (rightful) intentions and America’s weapons, and have up-armored every critical process in their nuclear weapons program.
Tunneling is something that Iran has always done better than any country in the world, throughout history, it’s an engineering fact.
Israel’s goal is to attack, not to necessarily succeed. A show of strength at a minimum.
America has a different challenge, we cannot participate in an attack that doesn’t win. If our bunker-busters don’t work, we lose the credibility of that weapon system.
The world will then know that anyone, N Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, Myanmar, Pakistan, etc can hide evil underground.
Our military planners doubt the bunker-busters will work.
De-mystifying ground penetration bombs ends their diplomatic and strategic use.
OK, everyone will know how deep to dig.
And...Iran will learn from any failed attack that it cannot be stopped by Israel or America. They will bray like a pack of mules at the world...and be believed.
I believe that Iran wants to be attacked.
Even in the clutches of Alzheimers, Ronald Reagan never said anything stupid.
Unlike the insufferable Jimmah, who never forgave Reagan for dethroning him in 1980 and who has hated America ever since. Israel is Jimmah’s proxy object of hate, as a small nation and firm ally of the U.S.
The muzzies hate the `Great Satan’ (us) and the `Little Satan’ (Jews & Israel) and Jimmah takes his cues from his beloved muzzies.
Congratulations! I think you've hit the nail on the head!
It would do more good if he would pound his own head with that hammer.
Sadly, about the time we are done with this fool, Obama will be starting his own decades of ex-presidential dissin’ America
Jimmeh must be feeling insecure that Barry may just err and make a decision that will shove Jimmeh back into the Worst US President Ever slot.
Netanyahu too eager for war with Iran.
Carter too eager for peace with the devil.
Yeah! Who is Jimmy Carter? The most irrelevant ex-Pres we have had. Who can’t seem to understand that he is no longer in office.

Just goes to show a blind nut will find a squirrel once in a while....
Carter just doesn’t like Jews that defend themselves. He prefers to Warsaw syndrome.
Dear useless, inflamed pimple on the smelly, wrinkled butt of world politics:
1. I should have thought that the message you received from the American public in early November, 1980 was loud and clear: STFU and go away, for good.
2. Netanyahu is not “eager” for a war involving his small nation - none of their leaders every are. Unlike you, they’ve all seen combat, and they’ve all lost friends and family. They are only eager to see their country be safe, and bend over backwards to AVOID conflict. In this particular case, waiting until the Iranians shoot off a missile will be too late - not that you give a rat’s ass. Since you got this one so very wrong (which any sane and thinking human being would expect from you), STFU and go away, for good.
3. Since YOU are the one who allowed the Ayatollahs to come to power by undermining our (admittedly imperfect) ally the Shah, and since you therefore bear COMPLETE responsibility for everything their miserable, despicable, brutal regime has done or will do in the future, and since you continue to insist that you were right in your foreign policy, NO ONE is interested in what you have to say - except to do the opposite. That goes at least double for the Israelis, if they have any sense. Refer to #1, above, for the appropriate advice (I’ll save you the time: STFU and go away, for good).
4. Since you wrote a book about Israel being an “apartheid” nation when, in fact, it is the only decent nation within about 1,000 miles, why would or should Netanyahu EVER listen to you? Again, STFU and go away, for good.
5. You do not, thankfully, have access to the latest intelligence about Iran and about the intentions and capabilities of their regime. Therefore, you don’t really know much more than me (and quite probably less, given that what little you had in the way of a mind is all shriveled up due to your advanced age), and you should (wait for it...wait for it...here it comes...) STFU and go away, for good.
