Tom Brokaw is the man that our Brent Bozell recently described as having "used NBC and [his] anchor chair as a platform to promote Democratic agendas and delight in Republican setbacks for more than 20 years." But every once in awhile, perhaps out of Greatest Generation nostalgia, Brokaw has something kind to say about a Republican.
As was the case on Morning Joe today, when, after reciting a list of the 41st president's accomplishments, said that George H.W. Bush was "the most underrated modern president of our time."

Bush was toast, even without Perot.
Gulf War I - Bush should have gone all the way to Baghdad when he had the chance, knocked down every Gov’t building, killed every Revolutionary Guard unit that was surrounded, declared the Kurds independent - and then left, except for Iraq’s southern oil fields, which should have been annexed and operated in Trust by the United States.
I can’t imagine that scenario causing any more problems than the way things actually did play out over the next 20 years.
So, after years of verbal abuse, we’re suddenly supposed to believe GHWB was the ideal President—I think not. If you think GHWB was ideal, you’ll love Romney, if he makes it.
Perot ran because he had a long standing feud with Bush that went back many decades and he succeeded in electing Clinton.
tom loves him some President “One World Order” Bush... surprise, surprise.
LLS
Bush name = liberal quisling. Bushes suck.
I was unaware of that, I stand corrected.
Frankly I can’t believe Newsbusters has a dolt that fell for this tripe. Very disappointing. Maybe Noel Shepperd will can the guy.
This is just a liberal tactic to appear to be fair and balanced.
If it hadnt been for the little hand grenade with a bad haircut (Perot), Clinton would never have been president.
READ MY LIPS BUSH.
One of the worst Presidents in history.
Lest anyone forget, George H W was the father of the “Earned Income Tax Credit”, where people who do not pay taxes get a “tax refund”.
LOL. Now Broken Jaw likes GHWB. Right.
FWIW, during the 2000 election, Brokaw did call out an Algore lie about the gun control act of ‘68 on national news.
