Rick Santorum's campaign is calling on conservatives to pressure Newt Gingrich to abandon his bid for the White House, a senior adviser told reporters tonight.
Senior campaign strategist John Brabender said the key for the campaign going forward will be creating an opportunity to challenge Mitt Romney one-on-one, though Brabender maintained the Santorum campaign would not directly call on Gingrich to drop out of the race.
"We're never going to call on anybody to get out, but what we are calling is on Tea Party supporters and conservatives is to rally behind the only candidate that has demonstrated over and over again that he's the one who can compete against Mitt Romney," Brabender said.
"The real key right now is, can we get an opportunity to get a one-on-one shot with Mitt Romney," he said.

I agree,,,
It was probably some low level staffer who is saying this. Again both Rick and Newt are adults and will make the decision on their own one way or the other. All this back and forth is not helping anything.
What are the three. I can only think of two: Michigan and Ohio.
Dear Santorum camp......screw you.
Okey Dokey!!!!
Go NEWT!!!! All the way to the White House!!!
YES<YES<YES< for the sake of the nation.
GINGRICH IS UNELECTABLE!

It's the count that matters. What good is a win if you can't get the delegates? Ohio isn't the only state where Santorum's campaign fumbled. Among the highlights, he's also got the same slate problem in Illinois and isn't on the DC ballot.
Let me think on this.
Okay, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mississippi?
Alabama?
Texas?
It’s like its set up to go to a convention.
AMEN!
Romney’s God-send is Gingrich. Gingrich is undermining the resistance.

Delegate counts
Romney 330
Santorum 132
Gingrich 90
Paul 56
I agree. Let it go to the convention. I am for Santorum, but Newt would be a fool to give up his bargaining power. He can push his agenda if nothing else, and he is much more fertile in good ideas than either Rick or Mitt.

I think you need to go.
Santorum supporters are delusional. He blows another big lead in Ohio (just like Michigan) and wins fewer delegates than Newt, and they say drop out!
lol
good luck with that
Your boy campaigned for Mitt in ‘08 - He’s the one who wants him - don’t fool yourself. He’s a LIAR.
Noot is finished. He needs to bow out or endorse rino romney and make it official already.
