President Obama said he called Sandra Fluke, the college student at the center of the Rush Limbaugh controversy, after thinking about how his own daughters would have handled the criticism.
I thought about Malia and Sasha, Obama said at a press conference Tuesday. And one of the things I want them to be able to do is speak their minds in a civil and thoughtful way, and I dont want them attacked or called horrible names theyre being good citizens.
I wanted Sandra to know that her parents ought to be proud of her, Obama continued.
Last week, Limbaugh called Fluke a "slut" and a "prostitute" on his radio show after the Georgetown student testified in support of Obama's contraception mandate.
Limbaugh issued a statement on Saturday apologizing for using those terms and has lost a steady stream advertisers over the remarks.

I see nothing like what you claim in the transcript.
Sarah Palin's parents should be REALLY proud of her.
Without insurance coverage, contraception, as you know, can cost a woman over $3,000 during law school." - Sandra Fluke
Divide $3000 by the average cost of a condom ($1.00?). Divide that by the number of days one would be at law school and draw your own conclusion.
Ping to view later.
To be fair, perhaps birth control pills cost about $100 per month and that's what she means; in which case it would be tough to determine the number of different cases she's taken on. Either way, not the tax payer's responsibility.
She did not say, “I have sex five times a week.” She did say that she went to Georgetwon looking for insurance to cover her contraception costs and that those costs could run up to $3000 which she and others could not afford.
Either she did not but they contraceptives, in which case she is a liar, she bought themn and did not use them, in which case she is willingly deceiving Congress and America, or she bought them and used them for what they were intended and at that rate is clearly promiscuous.
So, no, she did not directly state how prmoiscouos she is/was, but she told us what she was looking for and why...and those products are for a specific purpose.
Again, her words have meaning. If she is lying or deceiving intentionally, then there is another name for it that is equally true.
She never said that she herself spent $3000 on contraception, she said it could cost that much over a number of years. The only time she referenced specific costs was when she talked about her friend, who was prescribed birth control meds to treat her polycystic ovarian syndrome and was paying $100/month until she couldn’t afford it, and ended up losing an ovary because of a tennis ball sized cyst that developed when she stopped taking the meds.
I think people forget that birth control meds are used for things other than actual birth control.
“...and those products are for a specific purpose”
Not true - birth control meds can be used to treat various conditions outside of being used for actual birth control.
TankerKC, ou are correct. Her testimony is filled with lawyer speak and hearsay which implies things but never openly admits to anything.
What is clear is that she is a far left activist who is openly at war with the classic American way of life and our constitutional republic built upon fundamental moral principle.
That is what we should be focusing on...trying to pin her personal life down is a no-win based on her wording, despite its implications...and in reality is a trap to distract away from what we really should focus on and that is this pathetic attempt to try and foist more government control and paid for “entitlements” on the tax payers and people of the nation in an effort to funamentally change it.
This woman does advocate for sex change operations to be paid for by the public as well...but she hasn’t gone there yet with her political operatives and handlers.
Thanks.
If you need to say more than that, I suggest you read a transcript.
I did. See my post #50 to you.
I think people forget that birth control meds are used for things other than actual birth control.
I will agree that medication for the ovarian condition is something else altogether; however, given the woman's years of progressive activism for taxpayer funded abortions and contraception, I'm not naive enough to believe that is her overall primary concern here. She's another cog in the grinding wheel of the progressive machine destroying the culture that was America.
Yea, just kill the little innocent baby and pity your daughter for getting pregnant outside of marriage.
Just like you, accept no responsibility for anything.
If she were to lay with a man and got pregnant it was not her fault, Bush made he do it.
I see what might be a flaw in your logic regarding the average cost of condoms for Ms. Fluke.
We can probably assume someone in her position (chuckle, chuckle!) would get a volume discount on the condoms. Perhaps even an additional courtesy markdown offered to professional users.
Additionally, I imagine right now there are any number of condom manufacturers ready to offer her a lucrative endorsement contract. Especially those who market the recreational, multi-colored ones that resemble fluorescent rooster heads with rubber octopus tentacles.
AWESOME!!!!
AWESOME!!!!
