This is a good illustration of the Left marching in lock step. They have no idea of the truth of the matter and don't care. They have their marching orders.

Their focus on the words fails to look at the issue of freedom and ignores a government willing to shove down a religion's throat something against religious principle.

What is involved is the First Amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

One afternoon I was listening to Rush after he had his cochlear implant surgery.

They played some music that he didn’t recognize. He complained loudly and told them to turn it off. He said that he only wanted them to play music that he heard before his surgery, because he can’t decipher what he is hearing when it is new music that he has never heard before. I know. The sheer level of knee-jerking responses on these threads has demonstrated to me what I observed earlier: many have a different color of packaging, reddish instead of bluish, but they're still the same operating system and processor speed as the majority over at DU. The only difference is that they react in exactly the same way to a different set of stimuli.

Oh brother yes. Many were probably not aware of the exact passage of Rush commentary in question. I wasn’t. It looks like, for ten seconds, Rush entertained a hypothesis and then dismissed it. An explanation to this effect might have been called for, but not the apology he issued, which adds to the miasma of misinformation. And the topic didn’t have to hog his entire subsequent show. The bastards DID “get to” Rush, and I am not really angry at Rush for that, but just sad for the way things went down.

I saw Genesis a couple of times when PG was still with the group. THOROUGHLY enjoyed the shows. He was a fantastic entertainer. Was a very big deal in the music world when he left the group. My understanding, which could be wrong, is that he left because didn’t like being on the road touring so much and away from his young daughter. Wanted to be able to spend more time with her. Respect him for that, but his political views don’t matter.
