AOL Inc. says it is suspending its advertising on Rush Limbaugh's radio show in reaction to his derogatory comments about a law student who testified about birth control.

At least seven other companies have pulled ads from Limbaugh's show because of his comments.

Rush has been, and always will be,the iconic cornerstone for conservatives. His influence is huge. His presence on talk radio is huge as well.
The left has been trying to knock him down for years, always looking for ways to bring him down. They're seizing on what they perceive as a golden opportunity to silence the Golden Microphone-and deliver a demoralizing blow to conservatives to boot.
And what better time to do it,than during a pivotal election year?
The hell with the advertisers. Rush is smart,well-funded and resourceful, with a huge support base. He'll turn this around and there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth from the left.

“I think they are making up some of these. I have seen Snapple mentioned and now AOL. Isn’t AOL Ms HuffyPuffy now?

Snapple has been gone for years as a Rush ad.”

They are trying to get FREE advertising off this issue.

Snapple dropped like a rock after they left Rush, it took years and years and contracts with government schools etc to get back their market value

Already used one of his advertisers today. Don’t know if they’re new but the price was right.

They function as a loss leader in my area.

These companies leaving him are very stupid. Do they not realize that Rush listeners are the productive members of society who actually have jobs and are able to spend money?
I will boycott each and every one of them. I was going to update my will with Legal Zoom....not now, as I told them today.

AOL is utterly irrelevant. I’ve already dropped them or I would do so now. I will never use them again.

For a conservative Rush certainly has a lot of extreme left wingers for advertisers.

bump

Remember that none of these companies are pulling their ads because of what he said. It has nothing to do with that, its all political pressure.

I am a faithful Rush Limbaugh listener, Rush 24/7 subscriber, and I do not think Rush had to apologize for voicing his opinion, but it’s a moot point. I just want to pose a question: What if ALL of Rush’s advertisers pull out of his show and/or affiliates drop his show from their lineups? I do not worry for Rush’s personal future as he is resourceful and will be fine. I worry about us listeners. The left and the MSM lead us to believe that conservatives and conservatism are going the way of the dinosaur. I’m just tossing out the question, but sometimes, I do worry greatly for our future, given the state and adverse direction of the country. There are evil forces at work in this country, trying to tear down the Constitution, trying to erode the moral fabric. How about some responses, folks....

Rush, whatever else he may or may not be, is not stupid. I think he manufactured (perhaps with some hints from the background) this entire Fluke/slut tempest in a teapot.

Why?

It diverts attention from Arpaio’s report and coincidentally Breitbart’s death. Breitbart’s death, the threatening “bomb scare” about Lincoln’s assination that Rush got in the mail, the fact that the media people were threatened years ago not to touch Zero’s eligibilty - etc. Rush is not so stupid as to hound on the slut’s slutdom for days and then apologize. And all the companies pulling advertising is also pre-arranged or at least on directives from “above”. They make tons of money by advertising on his show. It’s meant to warn any other media people not to touch it.

The whole things Stinks totally.

AOL hasn’t gone bankrupt yet?

They’ve been losing tens of millions every year since they blew their wad buying Huffington Post.

First Carbonite (funneling money to Soros and MoveOn), and now AOL?

Sounds like Limbaugh’s advertisers WERE a bunch of COMMIE MOOCHERS, trying to funnel money from Rush’s audience to their Marxist front groups!

AOL still exists?? Their ads must be incredibly lame because I actually listen to Limbaugh fairly often and I had no idea they still existed.
