My e-mail to ProFlowers:

Dear ProFlowers,

I became a regular ProFlowers customer when I first heard your ads on Rush Limbaugh’s show a few years ago. I, like the other 20 million weekly listeners to his show value what he says, and what he recommends. I’m not sure how much business Rush has brought your company, but I’ll guess it’s substantial. This being the case, I was beyond disappointed that ProFlowers decided to be politically correct and drop their sponsorship to Rush’s show simply because Rush expressed a valid opinion about this fraud…Ms. Fluke.

Just as you have made a decision that will impact Mr. Limbaugh, many more of us are also making a decision that will indeed impact you. I purchased flowers from you this past Valentine’s Day; this will indeed be my LAST purchase from ProFlowers. I’m certainly not alone in my disgust for the gutless, politically motivated decision you have made to drop sponsorship of Rush’s show. You might want to take a look around the blogosphere this day; outrage at your decision will have the opposite effect you had intended. Do you really think that dropping sponsorship to Rush’s show in such a politically motivated way will not have financial consequences for your business.

I’m ashamed to say that was a ProFlowers customer!

Former Customer,

-Artcore

ProFlowers Response (Auto-Generated to be sure):

Dear Artcore,

Thank you for contacting ProFlowers. We appreciate your email and thank you for openly expressing your concerns regarding the current situation.

At ProFlowers, our mission is to delight our customers with fresh and long lasting flowers, and that is our singular focus each and every day. We do not base our advertising decisions to align with any particular political view or opinion as our employees and customers are as diverse as the USA. Mr. Limbaugh’s recent comments went beyond political discourse to a personal attack and do not reflect our values as a company. As such, ProFlowers has suspended advertising on The Rush Limbaugh radio program.

Best Regards,

I noticed they suspended their advertising but did not cancel... betting they are waiting for it to cool down and then will try and get back on...

They said they don’t subscribe to any political point of view yet they cancelled ads because of being pushed by the political left. This has to be the dumbest response I’ve ever heard a company issue.

I too just sent them an email stating that they won’t have my business any more.

We need to show these cowards that the left is not the only ones that can play the boycott game.

I sent them this. All I got was a comment thanking me for my feedbak. No mention of the controversy as in your reply from them.

Customer Comments: I have just learned that your Company has pulled advertising from the Rush Limbaugh Show due to pressure from Extreme Liberal groups who seem to have an issue with Freedom of Speech.
The same people you have caved in to have supported Leftist Commentators and Celebrities who have made far worse comments about Conservative Women who did not choose to testify to Congress that the Taxpayers should fund their recreational Sex Lives.
I have bought products from your Company in the past I have always recommended your service to others. Sadly, I will be sure to notify all in my extensive Social Network of Family, Friends and Business Associates that your politically motivated attack on Rush Limbaugh renders you incapable of being trusted with our hard earned money. There are plenty of fish in the flower business. Your product in not unique.
I also hope you realize that alienating over 20,000,000 Potential Customers who most likely have the financial means to actually purchase your products to appease people who base their decisions on living off Government largess will not benefit your bottom line.
You have been used by people who created an artificial crisis camouflaged as a Women’s Rights issue. The Rush haters will not fill the void of lost revenues, of that I can assure you.
