Actually, they are remobilizing. A Twitter account, “Stop Rush,” which has been dormant since late 2010, woke up on Wednesday, when Mr. Limbaugh first called the student, Sandra Fluke, a “slut.”
On Friday, as complaints from “Stop Rush” and others about Mr. Limbaugh’s comments mounted, a handful of companies said that they had halted their advertising on “The Rush Limbaugh Show,” at least temporarily.
One of the companies, Quicken Loans, wrote on Twitter, “Due to continued inflammatory comments — along with valuable feedback from clients and team members — QL has suspended ads on Rush Limbaugh program.”
Two mattress companies, Sleep Train and Sleep Number, made similar statements on Friday. A representative of Sleep Number wrote on Twitter, “Recent comments by Rush Limbaugh do not align w/ our values, so we made decision to immediately suspend all advertising on that program.”
Mr. Limbaugh’s comments on Wednesday about Ms. Fluke, who had testified in support of the Obama administration’s requirement that health insurance plans cover contraceptives for women, were immediately noticed by Media Matters, a liberal media monitoring group that has been raising red flags about Mr. Limbaugh’s language for years.

Rush can apologize all he wants. It doesn’t change the fact that everything he said is true. Truth hurts sometimes. The girl is a pimp (pimping to get all the rest of us to pay for her and others to have the ‘freedom’ to have ‘protected’ sex), and she is a ...(female who can’t afford to have sex unless WE PAY for it)!

I think plenty of us can’t stand liberals with the same fervor they display in expressing their hatred of us. This is the first time in my life I’ve heard people talking about civil war. Two different groups in the country want to live in completely different ways. Yet the left refuses to leave us any enclave that thrives on merit, as defined by intellect, hard work and personal responsibility - both fiscal and social - without regard to EEO categories. When the leftists watch the media, they become deluded that they are in the vast majority and they can force us to comply. I don’t see us retreating in the way they think we will.

I would like to attempt to put a finer point on it. If this were an army we were up against, the media would represent the air war and the unions, ACORN, etc. would represent the foot soldiers. For a long time the MSM had air supremecy and have been whittled down to air superiority. But, Breitbart is right in the sense that if the influence of the MSM was reduced to just a fair playing field, the Left would lose far more PR battles, elections and court cases to the point of being relatively ineffective.

I think Rush’s show will end by 2015. My guess is that the left will pursue him all the harder now, and he’ll get fed up with being hamstrung by his advertisers.
Like Rush, I find the idea that I need to pay for birth control for strangers incredible. I find the idea that a woman who attends a $50K/year college needs me to buy her condoms laughable. And it seems intuitively obvious to me (and to my 14 year old daughter) that an unmarried woman who needs $1000/year to avoid pregnancy is a slut. Like Rush and my daughter, I do the math and just start laughing at her claim.
But modern America is past the point of no return, IMHO. 7 states now allow homosexuals to marry. The likely GOP nominee rebuked military leaders in 2008 for being negative towards homosexuals. My sister, who was a missionary for much of her adult life, was cooing over her son’s marriage, and how she was sure God was going to bless their union - while I bit my tongue to avoid pointing out that they had been shacking up for two years and were proud of it.
I think America has reached a point where the only unforgivable sin is believing in individual responsibility. As a nation, we have been blessed by God, but we’ve rejected God with a vengeance. I think the majority of Americans reject the idea that sin is possible. To the extent they believe it exists, they blame God for it.
My values were dominant in the 50s, but there is no doubt in my mind that the vast majority of Americans reject what I hold dear. And if Mitt ends up the nominee, I’m going to find it very hard to get out and ‘fight’ for ‘my’ guy - because like Christie, Mitt is not and never will be ‘my guy’. My values are incomprehensible to him, as his are to me. And I guess I’m one of those horrible social conservatives, more motivated by the moral cesspool we’re headed for than by taxes.
Since I own a business in Los Angeles that does business with a lot of liberals, I don’t dare post any of my political thoughts on FACEBOOK, exactly for that reason.
I find other ways to “fight” them, like charging them more for my services.

Great point! I listen everyday but do so at work so I don’t hear every word. I have yet to hear the word slut even after being inundated with this story for several days.
