I agree. I think that name-calling is a bad thing, and all it generally does is get people angry and not thinking properly. Rush’s point was valid (who wants to be forced to PAY for other people’s . . . recreation? And also, why on earth would birth control cost $3,000 for 4 years? How much does a pack of condoms cost, anyway? And even b/c pills are super-cheap at Planned Parenthood, their favorite place!). But going straight for personal name-calling was not only rude, but actually damaging to our cause. Rush did not win over one new person by calling names, but he did make a lot of fence-sitters angry. Counter-productive, in the long run.
