Several unions that back President Obamas reelection bid are spending big in an effort to damage Mitt Romney in key GOP primary states.
Unions including The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) and Service Employees International Union (SEIU) are making ad buys to hit the Republican presidential contenders on issues key to their members, including immigration reform and the bailout of the auto industry.

Good! They’re spending like crazy in Wisconsin too. I hope they bankrupt themselves.

Both Communist Party affiliated unions.

Are the unions attempting to damage Romney in the Primaries or is this an attempt for Romney to win sympathy votes?
To: stars & stripes forever
is this an attempt for Romney to win sympathy votes? If you assume the sleaziest and most cynical motives to anything Mittens does, you will never go wrong.
In matters of honor, Obamney is useful only as a contrarian indicator.

Yep. That screeching you heard out of Michigan was just a result of Rick Santorum outplaying the SEIU owned Michigan GOP at their own game.

Great!
The enemy of my enemy, in this instance, is my friend.
Anything that damages and destroys, using his history, the candidacy of the Progressive Liberal Mitt Romney is just fine by me no matter where it comes from.

No, The enemy of your enemy is NOT your friend.
I most strongly beg to differ.
When the Progressive Liberal Mitt Romney either did or supported the following while Governor of MA and afterwards:
1. Global Warming
2. Abortion
3. Gay Agenda including Gay Marriage
4. Global Warming
5. Implemented a MA State version of the Assault Weapons Ban.
6. Refuses to support reinstating Don't Ask Don't Tell
So given his Progressive Liberal actions and his constant lying about his record and Past and his purposely lying about the only two conservatives in the race, yes, anyone who helps to destroy the candidacy of Mitt Romney is my friend. I don't agree with them on anything else, but in this instance, they are on my side.

Maybe it will take until after the votes are in on Super Tuesday for a lot of you to realize that your choice next November will be between Romney and Obama. That is just the way it will be, so live with it. I have been holding my nose and voting for Republicans every 4 years since Ronald Reagan was no longer on the Ballot. I will do it again in 2012 and I suggest that if you care for the future of America, you will do the same. We just can’t afford 4 more years of Obama.

I don’t know who you are referring to but it’s not me.
I agree that it will be between Mittens and Obama. But I beg to differ with you about the outcome.

I will do it again in 2012 and I suggest that if you care for the future of America, you will do the same.We have a 2 party system. With no chance of coalition building and a winner take all setup most voters will always have to hold their nose, at least to some extent, to cast a vote for the lesser of two evils in general elections. This is all the more true for activists and committed ideologues on the left and right. This is not going to change, it is only once or twice in a lifetime that a committed conservative will actually be excited to vote for a candidate at the presidential level. For most us, the last one was Reagan. We may not see something like that again in most of our remaining time on this earth. This is reality folks. It sucks, but it is what it is.
I will vote for the eventual GOP nominee too, but Romney is a loser. He is not just a political chameleon, he doesn't connect with people on almost any level. A Mitt nomination means a likely narrow election loss. The only mildly positive thing to say about him would be that as he won't be much of a lightning rod he probably won't do us too much damage down ballot.

A lot can happen in 8 months. Obviously, the incumbent has a lot of advantages in manipulating data, money and propaganda but often times there are events that even he can’t control. We’ll see.

All you are doing with a crappy post like that is giving aid and comfort to a Progressive Liberal.
You've signaled you have surrendered your conservative principles for the false meme of the inevitability and the false idea that Romney is electable.
If you are going to refuse to fight for your conservative principles , why don't you just sit on the sidelines and watch.

Anything that stops Romney is good.

(Newt Gingrich knows how to deconstruct Obama in a head to head race, and that is what it will take.)
