To be fair to El Rushbo, it's impossible to speak for 15 hours/week on the radio and not have a gaffe or ten.
This one, however, is political platinum for the dark side, and I for one hope that Rush can find a way to back away from the comment. (FWIW, I think the woman is likely a huge liar with the friend-Georgetown-BCP nonsense, but that is beside the issue.)

I don’t believe Rush should back any from his comments, because they’re true. When has the the left EVER backed away from their disgusting comments about Sarah Palin, George W. Bush, Clarence Thomas, Joe the Plumber, Herman Cain, Michelle Bachman, etc., etc., none of which were true?

I don’t think Rush should back down a bit. It’s quite clear that the woman was wanting taxpayers to pay for her contraception.
Contraception prevents pregnancy. Pregnancy is caused by sex. The lady wants us to fund her sex.

This is no gaffe. Rush is a pro and he knew what he was saying. The fact is the left has gone too far into bizarro land to give any rational, honest commentator any choice. Rush has been ‘careful’ in the past. Not very long ago you would have not been able to get Rush to use the word ‘evil’ and personalities of the Left in the same sentence. He will now call them evil outright.
We're going down a road. We are not where we were. If you listen to Rush this is reflected in his rhetoric. He's a communicator and to a certain extent he is subject to federal ‘oversight’ but at some point a spade must be CALLED a spade.
Wasn't a Gaff, Rush knows what he is doing. What we need here is a bunch of losers telling him how he needs to sell his G 550, and his Maybach, because he is Doomed!.
