I’m in Etown, where we got that tornado on wednesday that took out quite a few buildings. We are supposed to be on high alert but it has been all yawns all day both out my window in on the interactive weather map on weather.com.
But that is a very good thing...
I’m in the Milwaukee, WI area 12 miles west of lake michigan. It’s just begun snowing here.
As of early afternoon Friday, rain is expected to begin mixing with snow by 3 or 4 p.m., and the storm - described by the weather service as severe - is expected to be most intense around evening rush hour. Snow will be falling at a rate of about 2 inches per hour at times during the early evening, the weather service said.
My brother is in Gatlinburg. He is ready to fly in the bathtub if need be. He said he was unplugging his computer and for us not to call him as he will need to focus on up to the minute reports and take action today and tonight. It is worrisome not to hear how your family is doing. A tornado just went through there! Kentucky is getting hit right now. A huge tornado on the ground north of Louisville. They are saying it will be incredibly destructive. Say some prayers.
Wow! Stay safe!

Ah, that would explain it. When it comes to tornados, my home is almost as removed from Louisville as the eastern Washington desert is removed from rainy Seattle.
Almost...
By business less so, but that is because we are closer to louisville.

Authorities: ‘Extreme’ tornado damage in Indiana
JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Authorities say tornadoes have left widespread damage in southern Indiana and a sheriff’s official says at least one town is “completely gone.”
National Weather Service coordinator Bill Whitlock says the agency is tracking “extreme damage” in the Henryville area, about 20 miles north of Louisville, Ky.
Clark County Sheriff’s Department Maj. Chuck Adams says the nearby town of Marysville is “completely gone.”
Authorities have not confirmed any injuries or fatalities.
Prayers up!
Prayers up for you and for all in the path of these storme.
Good Lord, please be merciful to your people in the heartland today!
Peeling of pavement indicates possible F-4/5. Think Joplin. Let’s hope not...
My kids are in Etown closer to Radcliff. Hope the storm passes you by. I hate this time of year.
Can you be more specific? Where in KY?
All they said was “Just north of Louisville.”
