PHOENIX - Just when it seemed the Barack Obama citizenship flap had faded into the background, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has turned the spotlight back on.
On Thursday Arpaio charged the birth certificate Obama says proves he is a U.S. citizen is a fraud, contending a forensic examination of the electronic document posted last year by the White House proves that it was not simply scanned into a file but actually put together in several pieces.
Mike Zullo, head of the sheriff's Cold Case Posse who headed the investigation, said the inconsistencies in the document cannot be explained away by claims it was optimized or had been scanned with optical character-recognition software.
Zullo also said a separate examination proves Obama's 1980 Selective Service registration also is a fake.
The White House, which thought the issue had been put to sleep with the posting of the birth certificate, had no comment.
While saying the evidence proves that a crime was committed, Arpaio was careful not to implicate the president.
"I'm not accusing anyone of anything until we find out who may have committed these alleged crimes over this birth certificate and the Selective Service card," Arpaio said.
Arpaio brushed aside a question of why he was able to find such evidence when no one else in the country has. The sheriff said he probably was the only one who bothered to investigate in detail.
Zullo also said the fact the Honolulu newspaper had a birth announcement at the time proves nothing, saying the newspaper accepted such messages without requiring proof the person actually had been born in the state.
And Zullo insisted Arpaio has jurisdiction.

Sheriff Joe is no dope. I'm sure he not only sleeps with his duty weapon, but probably surrounds himself with a few other "amenities".
You can go to WND and read the summation of Arpaoi’s(sp) report. It concerned records from passengers on international flights landing in USA. Records are missing for that week in Aug 1961...the week of Obummer’s supposed birth. There is so much info out there I believe the reams of conflicting info is an attempt to overwhelm researchers. This info on missing docs from international flights for the time period of Obummer’s supposed birth that first week in Aug 1961 appears to be another vote for him being born in Mombasa and coming in to USA on an international flight.
You’re never going to get anywhere with this stuff. To the average American, the birth certificate thing is a conspiracy theory. People that go on and on about it might as well be a guy on the street corner screaming about the Kennedy assassination or the moon landings. Obama has been president for 3 years. He’s not going to go away because of the BC thing. You are going to have to defeat him on the issues. Talk about high taxes, and intrusive regulation. Talk about high gas prices and try to place those things at Obama’s feet. That is where he is vulnerable. Talk about NDAA, and how Americans are now subject to indefinite incarceration without due process. These are the real issues that are going to get people going. But the BC thing is a waste of everyone’s time and makes your cause look foolish. Flame me if you wish. ZOT me if you wish. But this is no different from the Left’s constant bitching about Bush and the 2000 elections. The man is in office right now, and this is not going to get him removed. The average American doesn’t give a rip about the BC issue.
If there was any doubt about my nationality or place of birth it could be rectified in less than 24 hours if I FEd Ex ed the permission to Austin, Texas. It might take 3 days if I used regular mail. My total cost would be 22 dollars or about 40 dollars if I used Fed-Ex.
Why will Obama not do the same for his birth records in Hawaii? Why has he spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to not do this?
If Obama is “short” the 40 bucks I am willing to give him the forty dollars.

imagine the uproar if Nixon, Bush, or any republican president had issued fraudulent documents and committed this type of fraud. This usurper must be defeated at the ballot box, then fully investigated — but, the Republicans don’t have the gonads for that as they live in fear of the MSM and political correctnes.
Truly and seriously? That week’s records are missing? I wonder how complete the record set is on the whole.

I started posting a year ago, that Obama was making a big mistake going after Joe. Joe is just warming up : )
He can give it to DOJ. Lotsa good that will do.
He can try to get Congress to investigate. Ain't gonna happen. or......

I was in the room....saw, heard ,and filmed, the whole thing....know this.....when video 3 was shown...to a man and woman....everyone there knew that document was faked

Listening to our local conservative radio station (KFYI) this morning was PAINFUL. They focused on the stupidity (my word, but you get my drift) of the investigation and the *what does Sheriff Joe do with this info*? Not once was anything mentioned about the missing INS records. I tried calling in but the lines were consistently busy and my email was never answered. Also talked about how this was only big news in AZ and no where else.
They made a big deal out of the fact that the cold case posse never went to or contacted Hawaii DOH. I could feel my blood pressure rising and then my husband came in and turned off the radio.
If we can just interest Dan Rather in all this .....he has experience with fraud
