Arizona sheriff unveils Obama birth probe

America's self-proclaimed toughest sheriff finds himself entangled these days in his own thorny legal troubles: a federal grand jury probe over alleged abuse of power, Justice Department accusations of racial profiling and revelations that his department didn't adequately investigate hundreds of Arizona sex-crime cases.

Rather than seek cover, though, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is seeking to grab the spotlight in the same unorthodox fashion that has helped boost his career as a nationally known lawman.

Arpaio on Thursday unveiled preliminary results of an investigation, conducted by members of his volunteer cold-case posse, into the authenticity of President Barack Obama's birth certificate, a controversy that has been widely debunked but which remains alive in the eyes of some conservatives...

At a news conference, Arpaio said the probe revealed that there was probable cause to believe Obama’s long-form birth certificate released by the White House in April is a computer-generated forgery. He also said the selective service card completed by Obama in 1980 in Hawaii also was most likely a forgery.

“We don’t know who the perpetrators are of these documents,” Arpaio said, although he said he doesn’t think the president forged the documents.

A congressional document posted on the Internet confirms no one – not Congress, not the states and not election officials – bothered to check Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president, and that status remains undocumented to this day.

What do you mean "undocumented?"

Nancy Pelosi personally vouched for Obungo's authenticity as a natural-born citizen without any documentation whatsoever.

Of course, we all know that Nancy's character and honesty is absolutely beyond reproach. Right?

...Obama's birth certificate, a controversy that has been widely debunked...

Not necessarily...but I've given up on it, since nobody has the cojones to further pursue his other records (school transcripts, travel documents, scholarship records, etc), I have serious doubts that his faux BC will ever be exposed.

Just let the piece of shit slip into the labyrinths of historical insignificance and be forgotten forever.

The VERY FIRST indicator is the Obama document does NOT say birth certificate! Rather document is titled Certificate of Live Birth.

“Certificate of Live Birth” is the same document my foreign-born adopted children have.

BTW, does anyone else remember when Obama went to Hawaii, for the death of his grandmother, he first went to Vital Records - Hawaii State Department of Health. I thought this very odd at the time.
