kristinn: please make Andrew part of the FR memorial page!
Wow. Talk about putting folks in a time warp.
I just knew he was a FReeper.
Thanks, Kristinn.
He was an amazing warrior and will be greatly missed. :^(
Believe me, when I heard the news the very first thing I thought about was s passerby with an umbrella.
Thanks K
He will be missed... RIP
Prayers sent to Andrew Breitbart’s family, and personal friends.
As one who merely read and admired his work, I was shocked and saddened by his sudden death.
I appreciate you posting your memories of him on this forum.
I miss him, already.
thanks for posting
THANK you for this Kristinn, it is heartwarming to know that Andrew was truly ‘one of us’.
God be with him, with his family, his friends and all those who grieve for him.
My prayers go to Andrew’s family. My he rest in Peace he was one of the new media pioneers and will be missed.
Thanks for Andrew’s postings.
They show that he was a regular guy, and like many here, made the transition from youthful liberalism to mature conservatism.
He was one of my heroes.
RIP, Andrew Breitbart.
Wow! I did not know he was a fellow FReeper, but it makes perfect sense.
Rest in Peace, Andrew Breitbart.
Thanks so much Kristinn. Geez, we’re going to miss him.
Like he came out of nowhere.
Heck I knew Drudge, Jim Rob, John and Chris Robinson, Goldbergs, Ingraham, Coulter, I have no clue on this person.
He certainly did not participate with us Freepers back then.
Good job Andrew... Be with our other fellow freepers in heaven...
What a beautiful tribute, kristinn. He will be missed but what a legacy he left. RIP, Andrew.
And tying the academia to the media as the main culprits in the degradation of American values and standards could be legitimate goals in the Culture War in the coming years.
We have just lost one of our natural leaders in this important effort.
Thanks very much for this post, kristinn. We have lost one of the giants in the last days of the republic. Our only hope is that there are many more like Andrew or inspired by Andrew, to go inside the belly of the evil beast and carry the torch of truth to light the way for the rest of us. Mr. Breitbart was a fearless patriot.
May the good lord bless Andrew Breitbart’s wife, his children, the remainder of his family and his friends.
Thank you, Andrew Breitbart, for all that you have done. Freedom lovers, like myself, are deeply saddened by the tremendous, incalculable loss. R.I.P., sir.
love and prayer
Thank you for posting this very interesting history, Kristinn.
RIP Andrew.
Thanks so much for putting together some of Andrew’s posts. He was a tireless and dynamic combination of strategic thinking blended with great wit.
I met Andrew at that first FR gathering at the Cheesecake Factory in Los Angeles you reference herein. We sat at one end of the table telling Hollywood horror stories and talking music with Tony.
Andrew had been spending more time here in D.C. of late at the Brietbart “Embassy” as he called it (I called it the bunker), his digs behind the Supreme Court building. Lots of conservative journos, pundits, filmmakers and politicians would hang out there. He had a ribs and chicken-fest feast there the Wednesday before CPAC introducing us all to filmmakers who’d come out for the convention. The last time I saw Andrew he was in the valet parking area at CPAC—we were cutting up—Andrew surrounded by his platoon of conservatives planning for the assault of the OWS unwashed the next day.
Shocked and stunned cannot begin to describe today as we bid a gut-wrenching farewell to our FEARLESS warrior for truth. Godspeed, Andrew. Prayers offered for your family.
Will he be on the memorial wall?
