Reminds me of a co-worker who was getting irritating questions from a reporter (who knew nothing about technology; yet pretended that he was an expert). So, in frustration our Marketing Engineer said that the larger fans meant that there were faster electronics on the motherboard. Big fans demanded faster IC’s to support the airflow.

And that’s what the lead-in in a Semi-conductor technical paper printed. We all had a good laugh; then we all got called into the Director’s office, and were politely, but firmly told that what we did wasn’t nice - very funny, but was unprofessional. It didn’t happen again.... but, damn that was a funny article.

Oh man I work at a marketing technology company and that story is awesome. I am jealous!
