The Los Angeles County coroner's office will review the death of conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart, who collapsed and died Thursday while taking a nighttime walk near his Westwood home.
Given his young age -- he was 43 -- and the unexpected manner in which he died, authorities will conduct an autopsy to help determine a specific cause of death.
Breitbart's father-in-law, actor Orson Bean, said in an interview with The Times that Breitbart was found collapsed near his home about 12:30 a.m. Paramedics took him to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, but doctors were unable to revive him.
"We're devastated. I loved him like a son," Bean said. "It looks like a heart attack, but no one knows until" an autopsy is done.

one only has to recall Nichole SImpson.(shudder)
I am not going to go there, though. If he had heart trouble (as Hannity indicated this am on Fox), then I will accept that he passed from a massive heart attack. We need to keep the family in mind. I am heartbroken for their loss, just so very very sad.

Well, the fact that he died OUTSIDE of his home while taking a walk makes this a bit more disturbing. I hope the family hires a private pathologist to accompany the LA County Coroner. Michael Baden, MD, call your office.
If he went for walks often at this time and on the same route a pattern was established and he could easily have been killed with an untraceable substance of some kind. I read Vince Flynn novels. I know these things.

This reminds me of the FLIR Expert that was about to testify that he had proof that the ATF Agents were firing at the Branch Dravidian's during the WACO fire. He also died at unexpectedly at age 40 something.

Wouldn’t an autopsy be standard procedure? Or at least I’d think so when one dies unexpectedly.

The L.A. Coroner is a Democrat hack.....might as well have Obama perform it.
Wouldn't having 0bama perform it be a conflict of interest since he may have ordered the "hit"? ;)
Good to see you SJB, hope all is good with you!

Regardless of what the coroner doesn't find, there are a lot of hungry would-be journalists out there who'll look into everything from "Occupy Unmasked" to ACORN. If they're sloppy enough to (try to) disappear someone else like Lee Stranahan or James O'Keife (sp?), both of whom hopefully are being very careful right now, they may be caught sooner rather than later.

I thought the same thing: was this his routine? Was he walking his dog? Having a smoke? Nothing about a dog, so probably not that. I want to see that witness who saw him fall...

I remember that all too well.
Glenn Beck had a report that other night about something like 30-40 Russian whistleblower journalists ending up dead under weird circumstances since Putin is trying to get back into power.

Yes...it would call for and autopsy; however, if he had a 10 year history of high cholesterol, abnormal ECGs, abnormal stress tests and was on medication, etc., there likely would be no need. If this came out of the blue, then yes.

You got that right. I can’t help but wonder how in Hell someone dies at age 43 of ‘natural causes’, because dying at 43 is damn sure not ‘natural’, that’s for sure.
