Homosexuality is just partner-assisted masturbation with all the benefits that masturbation produces.

Why tide has turned in favor of gay marriage

Because G-d has given up on america - decided that we are not worthy.

Brainwashing is achieving its goal. How can lawmakers be so dense? They’re listening to their brain-washed childdren? A few tears from a group of people who, when no one is watching, would revile you, is enough to convince a conservative? BS!

Where are the stories of children being pressured to be gay? Of people being punished for disagreeing? People being fired? Churches facing hate campaigns? List of voters made public to expose them to harm? This is pure evil, people.

"Once I began to look at this through the eyes of my own kids and other young people, it became pretty clear," the father of four sons, ages 17 to 21, told the Washington Post. "You want them to have love, and if that's how they want to express it, you want them to be able to do it openly."

According to another FR thread and Telegraph(UK), "CNN Founder Ted Turner 'Spends One Week Each Month With A Different Girlfriend'". I imagine the parent quoted in this article thinks it is more important to be happy in bed, even if it is as an elderly man with no real relationships like Ted Turner, than to achieve the peace that comes from following God's will and God's word. I find that incredibly sad for Ted Turner, for the father who sees life through such a shallow lens, and for the poor man's kids who grew up with no moral guidance and no deeper purpose than finding happiness through carnal sensation.

Because many have been conditioned to think that the institution comes from man and thus the state, 40% in a recent poll. This is wonderful for statists and homosexualists. Because if folks think marriage comes from the state, they will accept whatever impossibility the state puts forth as marriage that year, and society can then be manipulated through gubbermental rewards and punishments that already exist concerning gov’t recognition of the institution.

The reason companies pay big money to newspapers, television networks and billboard groups - is because advertising works.

This country has had non-stop free ads run for gay marriage the last fifteen years. The MSM jumped on this one and never let go. Ethics aside, I doubt much human activity could hold out against that type of force.

My concern is - what will they push next?

"The other trend driving acceptance of gay marriage is simply visibility. Most people reading this column, even in the more conservative corners of the country, now know someone who is gay."

What am I missing here? Has "gayness" become significantly more common in recent years? If it's in the genes and can't be helped, as leftists claim, this is the only possible explanation. Yet that seems highly improbable, since for obvious reasons that is one trait that's not likely to be passed on genetically. A much more plausible explanation is that people like Cokie and Steve Roberts, and the politicians named in their article, have no sense of moral absolutes and change their position whenever the wind changes direction - resulting in more people making the decision to seek a same-sex partner. While I strongly disagree, I can respect those with different opinions. What I cannot respect is people whose opinions are so easily influenced by those around them that their sense of right and wrong changes with the times. If you believe it was wrong that people were not allowed to marry someone of the same sex ten years ago, one hundred years ago, and one thousand years ago, I disagree but I respect you. If you believe it was wrong in the past but OK now, please go home and grow a backbone.
