I don’t know. Looking at Michigan it appears that the social issues are pretty important to social conservatives. Romney won in Detroit and Santorum won the rest of the state in a 7/7 congressional district split.
The problem for Romney now is that he simply can’t win most of the districts he won last in a match up against Obama and has to make them up by winning the districts he didn’t win last night.

I was thinking the same thing last night.
The districts Romney won are all grouped together right around Detroit. 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 14.

I don’t know what to make of Santorum winning the 13th but I think he would have been in a better position to beat Obama in Michigan. I saw Ed Rollins on the news this morning suggesting that Romney got the delegates he needed and will essentially cede Michigan to Obama in the fall.
With King of the Phony Bailout up for reelection, Michigan would be a waste of any Republican’s time.
Yeah sure whatever your master tells you. Now get back over the fence boy.
They never polled me, that’s for sure.
NEXT UP: BIG wins in Washington, Ohio, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and a couple more great showings on Super Tuesday are ESSENTIAL.
5 minutes ago @TeamSantorum: Santorum adv Brabender: "It is not a win for Romney but tie for Mitt Romney in his home state." Each claims 15 delegates
53m @prismsinc: WOW poor choice of words there from Romney in Ohio: My religion is an unusual religion in a number of respects #tcot
49m @consnationradio: Rick Santorum "we need to make sure we can adequately compete, we are not, that's why we are losing jobs" #GameOn
42m @Iowans_Rock: I see reports that Romney is in OH talking about the "family crises" we have in America. Hmmmm...where have I heard that before? #Santorum
46m @TeamSantorum: Get signed up today to make calls from home for Rick Santorum! It's easy & big help! ht.ly/9n1IP #santorum
Gallup this morn: Obama 49% (-2) Santorum 48% (+5)
Woo hoo....Net SEVEN gain!
Thanks for the posts, CC.
GAME ON RICK!!!
The exit polls say that Myth the RINO won Republicans 48-37, he about tied with Santorum for Independents, and Santorum won huge with Democrats 53-18. Santorum also won big from people who “strongly oppose the Tea Party,” so I think those Democrats who voted for him were mischief-makers, not Reagan Democrats. About 1-in-10 of MI Primary voters was a Democrat and about 1-in-9 “strongly oppose the Tea Party,” so it looks like Myth probably legitimately won by about 6 or 7 points, not 3, and at least a couple of those Santorum delegates may have been won because of commies messing with us.
I’m for Gingrich, not Santorum, but I can’t stand Romney so I’m really glad Myth’s not getting those delegates. Still, Santorum supporters shouldn’t suggest he had a great night in Michigan because some little red brats decided to play a prank.
No, if the Democrats who voted for Santorum were conservative union members, Santorum wouldn’t have won huge among those who “strongly oppose the Tea Party,” who are almost the same number as Democrats. Look at the exit polls for yourself.
OK whatever.
For those wondering what the heck we’re talking about, here’s where you can see the exit polls:

Rick should quit and endorse Newt while there is still time to stop the Mitten’s coronation.
