"Once in custody Lane was advised of his rights, he confessed to taking the .22 pistol to school along with a knife,"...

"He admitted he fired 10 rounds into a group of students, that he did not know the students, and that he chose them randomly."

He chose his victims at random. This is not about bullying. This is not about drugs," the prosecutor said.

The bully baiters have a plan.

They can’t ban “hate speech” so they are banning “bullying” which is defined by them. It boils down to banning hate speech against leftist dictates, espeically homosexuality.

I saw this picture and my GAYDAR alarm sounded. Bigtime. I’m guessing now this dude was facing being conflicted with his own devout Christian home setting.

“...school. End this outmoded 19th century institution and you end school shootings.”

And replace it with WHAT?

Encourage child labor and outlaw automation. Of course some controls would be necessary, you don’t want those younger than six working in dangerous occupations.

This whole thing just pisses me off. I was bullied incessantly in high school, because I was a bit of a lte bloomer. I had access to handguns and rifles and shotguns, and I didn’t shoot anyone. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that parents and teachers are telling kids that no matter what they are fabulous, God forbid we damage their little feeling and self-esteem. BUT these kids have peers that don’t care about self-esteem. So these fragile little flowers end up getting picked on like has been happening since the dawn of time, but now they don’t have the proper coping mechanisms and lose it when they don’t have people constantly telling them how great they are. Also, the only common thread in school shootings so far HAS NOT been bullying, it’s been that the shooters were on anti-depressants and ritalin.

Most were on prescription medication. Hardly any kids were on this crap years ago. Now they medicate for no reason whatsoever.

If accurate, that would indicate that this was not random.

Possibly a case of hiding the true target in a supposedly random group of people?

Why would he bother? It isn't like he was planning on getting away with it. I think he's just of the "I'll see if it feels good to kill someone." mindset. There was a teenage girl convicted of exactly this recently

Alyssa Bustamante, 18, had pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the October 2009 slaying of Elizabeth Olten in their small Missouri town. In her diary, she described the experience as “pretty enjoyable.’’
This POS plea bargained her way out of life in prison. I just hope her victim's parents are waiting for her when she gets out.

“I like private and/or home schooling but, at this point, it would not be realistic for everyone.”

I know, it would be like cancelling social security.

I’d like to wean America off, though.

...a statement at the read.

Either that or they call the DNC to get their talking points before presenting the news.

They did confiscate/prevent any guns at school.

That worked so well...

Bombs are outlawed too. Does that prevent them?

Yes, some people are just crazy. They register as Democrats and push gun control, bomb control, knife control, sharp rat tail comb control...

Is it just me, or does it seem to everyone else that we have increased laws by 300 to 500% since the 1970s?

And just look how much safer we are today.

Obviously we need more laws. /s

"And replace it with WHAT?"

Think about it for a sec....

WHY do we need all these huge wasteful buildings to house in some cases thousands of students with multitudes of buses to ferry kids to and from these buildings when you could decentralize and build lots of small efficient buildings with minimal staff (Don't need lots of secretaries and assistants if there is only 80 or less kids in each building)

Take away the "mass effect" (very large groups of students in one complex)and you limit most of the bullying right away.

Repeat offenders of such end up in the "HARDASS" building where they sit at their desks and do basic ed. and nothing else and if they step out of line there they sit in a small room all day. (The HARDASS building would have lots of these small rooms with cameras and mics recording everything that went on) They would have a single book to read and an adult watching their every move via a security room with monitors.

Lots of smaller buildings would be far cheaper and easier to maintain. You could have one larger community building with sports facilities and a stage for plays and band concerts.

Put some sanity back in the curriculum and get back to math and reading and writing and science and *GASP* Socratic dialog and logic! Do away with Age group/grades in the class room and worry more about learning. You can keep general age groups like 13 and up in a group and such.
