At a hearing of the House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee yesterday, a single witness Georgetown law student and reproductive rights activist Sandra Fluke told sympathetic policy-makers that the administrations so-called contraception mandate should stand
because her peers are going broke buying birth control.
Forty percent of the female students at Georgetown Law reported to us that they struggled financially as a result of this policy (Georgetown student insurance not covering contraception), Fluke reported.
It costs a female student $3,000 to have protected sex over the course of her three-year stint in law school, according to her calculations.
Without insurance coverage, contraception, as you know, can cost a woman over $3,000 during law school, Fluke told the hearing.
Craig Bannister at CNSNews.com did the math and discovered that these co-eds, assuming theyre using the cheapest possible contraception, must be having unprotected sex about three times a day every day to incur that kind of expense.

Why the assumption that you HAVE to have pre-marital sex?

exactly
Shouldn’t asthma inhalers and cancer treatment, glasses and dantistry, be “free”?
What do people pay for that over 3 years of law school?

College: The only bar with a $20k cover charge.
Who’s the idiot? The one paying for this crap.

This is just a ‘Fluke’, right? Pathetic.

I think based on the math, a person would have to have sex 23 times a day, seven days a week to spend $3,000 on condoms.
Where can I sign up to attend Georgetown?

How do they find time to study and write papers?

So on a cost / benefit analysis, it’s really only $1,500 since there is a sharing of the benefit. As such the cost should be shared as well.

If they can’t afford a $9 pack of birth control pills from target, how the hell can they afford a law degree? Perhaps, they should try a baby aspirin between the knees. That’s cheap.

Yes. And why the insistance on turning a Catholic University into just another state university? Why didn’t she chose the University of Maryland or UVa if she wanted to live this lifestyle?

Asthma inhalers - yeah, those... that used to be, what, 5-15 dollars before the leftist econazi global warming / ozone regulations made them “reformulate” their propellant and they now cost between $30-60?

The cheapest number applies only if they would pay it themselves.
If it's "free", i.e. someone else is paying for it, then of course they will go for the most expensive option.

Some of the most interesting sexual experiences of my entire life involved women who don’t have intercourse. That’s all I’m gonna say.
