Homeschooling families will soon be forbidden from teaching that homosexual sex is sinful as part of their schooling program, according to the government of Alberta, Canada. Under the province’s Education Act, homeschoolers and religious schools will be banned from “disrespecting” people’s differences, Alberta Education Minister Thomas Lukaszuk’s office told LifeSiteNews just last week. “Whatever the nature of schooling – homeschool, private school, Catholic school – we do not tolerate disrespect for differences,” said Donna McColl, Lukaszuk’s assistant director of communications. “You can affirm the family’s ideology in your family life, you just can’t do it as part of your educational study and instruction.”

This the supposed progressive 'conservative' province government.

There is a real conservative alternative though: A new conservative political party:

Wildrose Alliance. I suggest all CA Alberta freepers check it out!

Teacher (Mom) to Student (Kid): “Some men have sex with other men...time for recess!”

Mom to Kid at recess: “Some men having sex with other men is a sin.”

How can gov’t nannies enforce a ruling like this?

Except moslems. You all get a free pass.

Nothing as intolerant as a liberal bent on “full inclusion”.

“Mom to Kid at recess......

yeah, ridiculous—homeschooling is an overlap of instruction! It doesn’t stop when the school books are put away. .... and... that’s the whole point of homeschooling, too. :)

Just what I was going to say.

“OK, kids. Recess Time.”

“OK, kids. Homosexual sex is wrong, sinful, and unnatural. And governments which force people to say the opposite are evil.”

“OK, kids. Recess is over. Time for lessons again.”

“we do not tolerate disrespect for differences”

Obviously “they Do tolerate disrespect for differences”
as they “do not tolerate opinions and beliefs that are different then theirs.” Obviously they do not know that to tolerate means “to put up with that which one disagrees or finds offensive” and tolerance Does Not mean acceptance of those things that one disagrees with or finds offensive nor does it mean re-educating or mis-educating the children of those who disagree with you.

LOL! What, the Democrat pedophiles don’t have enough happy hunting grounds with all the government schools they control? Now they want to go after homeschoolers, too? Oh man... it doesn’t get any sicker than Democrats.

The banned info is in the Bible. Plain and clear. How does CA plan to handle banning the sacred text from home-schoolers?

Good grief... sounds like something that would be more akin to a place like say Ontario. Yuh know, that province where a 4 year old draws a picture of a plastic handgun and after her teacher hands it over to the police, they arrest the girl’s father. Strange you know, in some way Canada under Harper has turned a corner and has shed at least a portion of the odious liberal scent. Than other times, it feels like it is one hair’s breadth from falling right off the cliff into oblivion.

Authoritarian, materialist Western governments are going to find that they are no more eternal than the totalitarian materialist Eastern governments.

Psalm 2, Lord, please. Fire for effect.

Bingo. You might be forced to follow state educational guidelines, but you can always critique and demolish that crap during ‘debate’ exercises and by presenting alternatives. Personally, my offspring are intentionally taught what the politically correct line of thought is in all matters - as well as the truth, moral and otherwise. In that manner, they’re fully prepared for whatever tests or intrusive questioning they might encounter. Glad to say, they’re better prepared to discuss leftist ideology and secular ideas more than most of the useful idiots they’ll encounter - including teachers.

No, this is in Canada (CA), in Alberta, not in California, US. -I am American and have seen this and been confused too (but I like to visit conservative Canadian blogs).

At some point, people will have to break the law. Remember, it used to be “illegal” to teach slave to read, but they did it anyway.

By definition, all deviant behavior is “different.” So in Canada, you cannot disrespect deviant behavior.

By encouraging kids to report their parents. Unfortunately.

Since the Koran teaches it’s OK to kill Jews and infidels, I wonder if the rules that apply to Christians and what the Bible teaches also applies to Muslims and what the Koran teaches.
