HOUSTON - A fired Spring Branch ISD teacher accused of having sex with a student is out of jail but must wear an ankle monitoring bracelet.
The judge also ordered Kathryn Camille Murray, 28, to stay away from the alleged victim.
According to court documents, a faculty member told administrators at Memorial Middle School that Murray was having an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old male student.

Poor Sally’s gonna be writing for some blog if she keeps up tilting at the sacred windmills.
Based on video evidence? GUILTY.
The man faces 20 years and the woman gets an ankle bracelet.
Does anyone really think women want equality?
This is happening over and over and no one condones it, but sentences should be handed out and equal.
The girls who flaunt themselves in front of the teachers are considered to be violated, while the boys are looked upon as lucky.
In todays morality Girls are just as open about sex as boys, why should they be considered violated when they probably started the whole thing themselves. In neither of these cases is consent a problem. They consented. The punishment for the adult should be the same.
If this had been a priest.... Male priest, of course. Given there are 3 million teachers in the USA, and that this sort of thing is not uncommon—and I speak as a former local rep of a teachers union—just do the arithmetic. One difference is that once upon a time the teacher would simply have resigned and disappeared, while her file got purged, with the understanding that if she applied for work elsewhere that they would say only that she had worked there. That was the working model. Of course, there were many false charges made, and by and large the DA didnt want to waste time and money on such matters. But now we have a war on pedophiles —except in places like SF where the crime is common practice.
This is Sally, the reporter. This is NOT the perp.
That article was horribly written. It sounds like it’s going to compare the reaction to this crime with the reaction to one involving a male teacher, but then it only discusses this one. It also primarily focuses on the reaction of the students, with only a quick mention of the reaction of one parent, and no mention of the treatment in the courts, which is the real issue.
Me too ... I'm soooo easy. ;)
What a stupid woman. She ruined her life and profession for an adolescent. I’m just glad she won’t be in a classroom teaching anymore. Like most people, I doubt that the boy will be scarred for life and feel ‘violated’.
Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode. It seems like your wildest fantasy come true, but then again...

I have also taught 8th grade girls (14 yo). I can say they are a different breed than the girls I was in the 8th grade with. Probably half of them are sexually active and all of them know the effect they have on men. A large percentage of them were so well developed that with fake ID no one would doubt they were 18. I don't condone teachers that succumb but in many cases the girl is the aggressor. It's still statutory rape no matter how hot she is or how much she wants it.
NOT GUILTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
how many 15 year old males wish they were molested like this
the world has gone insane
a crime??
heck this was a gift
My teachers never came on to me either, which was fortunate for me because all of them were men.
Maybe, but I do not think those 15 year old boys can get pregnant.
Oh my gosh, the verdict is NOT GUILTY.
There’s something wrong with a woman who approaches young teens for sex instead of adults her own age.
Would you really have wanted a sexual predator like that to have gotten ahold of you at that age?
