Once people start laughing at a politician they're done.

The problem is that not only are they laughing at Dick Obama but they are laughing at all of our guys, too.

You know the old saying. Once people start laughing at a politician they’re done.

Explain Joe Biden... :)

Let’s hope the GOP PR folks pick it up.

The GOP has yet to figure out PR. Their touch can turn gold into sawdust.

If obama strangled his daughters, the dems could make it look positive.

If a Repub reduced unemployment to zero, balanced the budget, reduced the debt, and straightened out the muzzlems, the dem PR machine would turn it into the worst disaster of all time and have the guy impeached. And the GOP PR "machine" would end up agreeing with them.

So if you really study it carefully, you can see that every change of party came from an idiotic mistake made by an incumbent president.

Great analysis. I would like to add that many of those voters, that would save/reward/support a president who made an idiotic mistake, just stay home on election day.

Second, the MSM (Zedia) has played a major role in elections. But their grip on influence of elections has been steadily waning. Talk radio, the internet and Fox News are the players here. So MSM's grip is ever more desperate, radical and obvious. The Zedia (Zombie media) will go even further over the top in trying to save the Big "O" from political demise. This could be a great gift. Even the stupidest of voters will see that the Zombies in the media are callously bent on deceiving voters for the sake of their Zombie King. The election of 2012 could just as well be about doubt of the MSM as doubt of President Obama.

Well not to get everybody overconfident but let's take a look at some of the "swing" states that Obama only narrowly won in 2008. Does anybody really think that Obama is going to do as good or better in these states in 2012?

North Carolina - 15 EVs - Obama 49.9 | McPain 49.5

Indiana - 11 EVs - Obama 49.9 | McPain 49.0

Florida - 27 EVs - Obama 50.9 | McPain 48.4

Ohio - 20 EVs - Obama 51.2 | McPain 47.2 The above states are those that the GOP should easily win this time around because if Obama only narrowly won them when his popularity was at zenith, it is not logical that he should win them this time around.

Provided that the GOP hold on to the states they won in 2008, these 73 EVs bring the GOP total to 246 and now only need to pick up 24 EVs in the rest of the country to win.

Pick up Pennsylvania (21 EVs) and any other state (i.e. Iowa, Colorado) and Obama loses.

Pennsylvania is the bellwether in this election. Obama won by 10 points there in 2008. Obama's popularity has dropped by well more than 10 point since then. This is a state that the GOP should and must pick up.

Trust me, behind the facade, the Obama people are very nervous.

"--Pennsylvania is the bellwether in this election--"

Pennsylvania always teases but rarely delivers EV's to the GOP. I believe the Republicans need to flip 97 electoral votes to win the White House, and the only sure bet I see is Indiana's slate of eleven. Demographics is destiny, and with 49.5 percent on some form of the dole coupled with the usual Democrat constituency, I do not see where the other 86 electoral votes are going to come from.

The Chicago/Democrat/Socialist/Muslim/NWO spin and voter fraud machine will take care of his “winning”. It hasn’t exactly lost influence and control in this country.

Soros is buying the vote counters (secretaries of state) in the various states. The media is busy destroying all the potential Republican candidates, one at a time. The union thugs and Black Panthers can probably take care of the rest of the problem.

I’d be happy if the odds were 50:50. I think when you toss in a spending advantage of at least 5:1 for Obama, and the free media support, we’re faced with a tough fight.

My sister voted for him in 2008, in spite of knowing his positions, and in spite of having spent much of her life as a missionary. She now says she won’t vote for him...but I’d bet Mitt is the only Republican she would vote for. And if Mitt is the nominee, I may well sit this election out. But I’m sure Newt and Rick are both ‘too mean’ for her to ever support...although Obama voted for fourth trimester abortions. But I’ve noticed with religious women, mean doesn’t mean what men mean by mean...so to speak.

I’ve yet to meet a Baptist man who voted for Obama. I’d say about 50% of the women did.

I view Obama as a litmus test by God of America’s morals, and I’m worried we’re going to fail...

Just exactly who is obama going to lose to?

Well, that's just it. He loses badly to anybody except the four candidates who are actually running against him. :)

>>>This article seems predicated on the assumption that the GOP is going field a viable candidate.<<<

You beat me to it. Obama sometimes reminds me of (my favorite team) the 1972 Miami Dolphins, who went unbeaten playing in a division of very weak teams. Looking at the current crop of Republicans, I could imagine Obama winning by default, with the help of a loyal media and corrupt unions and city political machines. The sight of a Chavez-like Obama facing off against a House and Senate of Republicans and a population disgusted at his leadership would be the stuff of legends... although if I had to come up with a scenario for American dictatorship, this would have to be the best for the people as a whole - Obama using the executive branch as a hammer, with the legislature squared off against him, and the people and states in disarray... better than Civil War, that’s for sure, and more like the Glorious Revolution in England, where elites fought the elites.

We’ll see. Interesting times ahead. God help us.

Ford almost won in 1976 despite Watergate and the gaffe about Poland in the debate. He lost Ohio by about 11,000 votes. Carter’s margin in the electoral college was 297 to 240—Ohio and one or two other states could have given the election to Ford. If Ford had waited longer before pardoning Nixon, and had gotten Nixon to sound more contrite, there might not have been as many people still mad about the pardon at the time of the 1976 election.

A lot of Northern Democrats were never very warm towards Carter because he was a Southern white male, and they are programmed to believe that Southern white males are racists (even when they have their Klan robes hidden away). They never showed the kind of idolatry towards Carter that they have towards Obama. Then John Anderson came along and they could vote for someone other than Carter who wasn’t Reagan. That won’t be the case with Obama.

Medved knows no more or less than any one else. I see no reason to attribute any credence to his ability to accurately predict. He’s just a commentator with an opinion.

Most Americans, I am convinced, want a welfare state and they want state-run health care and they are perfectly willing to give up their freedoms to a nanny-state.

Quinnipiac: Most Americans Want Obamacare Repealed [Rasmussen and now Quinnipiac]

I haven't seen any poll that was for Obamacare, and Quinnipiac, like most polls except Rasmussen, slant to the left.

I read your entire diatribe. You are entitled to your opinion. You have not changed mine.

I am convinced Obama is toast and it doens’t matter who the GOP run against him. Obama is history. He will do much damage in the meantime.

We’ll also be lucky if the new GOP president gets a 2nd term. Well see how bad the economy is broken when 2016 rolls around.

If so, count on a Democrat worse than Obama retaking the reigns in 2016 as the destruction of America marches on, hopefully without Obamacare.
