By slavishly following and attending to every radical Muslim grievance, and treating Islam as a uniform monolith from Afghanistan to N. Virginia - they are doing more to promote the notion of the supremacy of Islam. Its more than Osama bin Laden ever hoped to achieve.
Why would they go to a mosque to say “I am so sorry, please forgive us” in the first place... you mean a statement or a phone call is not good enough (not that I am for giving an apologize - but that is a whole of issue).

There are rumors that an intense attack(s) will occur, not just Taliban but “civilian” Afghan nationals with no ties to terrorist groups, joining the chorus of “Kill all Westerners”. I wonder if the Pentagon/current Administration will allow the soldiers over there to defend themselves?

I remember the time when Americans of Japanese origin faced similar threats and were relocated to remote areas for their own safety. (Mostly, but some who were suspected of helping Imperial Japan, their version of Islamists, were held in camps.)
The Islamists living here express great concern for their safety.. well we can do no less to protect them than we did to protect the Americans of Japanese origin -- and the sooner the better.

I will assume that the "reporter" left out his comments about the two servicemen.
There are Muslims -- and I worked with some for a few years, great people, and I lived in Ankara for about a year -- but there are also Islamists. If you check you will find that tens of millions of Muslims in Turkey DO NOT WANT Islamism (political Islam, sharia law).
