True to a primary season already marked by sudden and surprising ups and downs, Mitt Romney has jumped back into the lead in Michigan’s Republican Primary race. The vote’s on Tuesday.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Republican Primary Voters in Michigan shows Romney with 40% of the vote and former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum with 34%. The poll was conducted on Thursday night, following the last scheduled debate among the GOP candidates. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Both his parents were still Indian citizens when he was born; they came over on student visas. He's completely ineligible. But Obama beats him up anyway because ..... well, just because he's a better man than Obama. (But then, just about anyone this side of a catamites' opium den, is.)

Santorum believe the church should have a role in the operation of the state.
How much more do you need?
That’s puzzling that they’d support a guy who strove so hard to avoid combat, or any type of military service during the Vietnam war. From a military perspective, I think Santorum would be the only one we could count on to reverse the social engineering the military has suffer over the last decade plus.

Bill Buckley used to say, famously, that "whoever says A must also say B", but in this case, Santorum's A and your B are not quite the same, and are in fact different enough to generate quite a bit of daylight between Santorum's sequelae and yours.
He was referring to the fact that a grounding in Christian morals is essential to the operation of the American Republic -- our Framers said so repeatedly and warned us -- and the clergy -- that any great failure of public morals would lead to a failure of the Republic. We are seeing happen today what they feared even then.
Santorum said "no influence or no involvement": I do not think he wants prelates sitting in offices in the Executive Office Building or holding consistories in the cloakrooms of Congress. He is talking about the active efforts of the ACLU to expel theist Americans from every position of honor and profit under the United States, in order to promote scientific materialism, the official public religion of Stalinism.
He is criticizing and deploring the broad reach and influence of deeply hostile, anti-Christian NGO's in public life, as toxic to our freedom and the integrity of the Republic.
Not surprising at all that the military supports Newt Gingrich.
Gingrich has taught at the United States Air Force Air University, where he is the longest serving teacher of the Joint Flag Officers Warfighting Course.
Newt is an Honorary, Distinguished Scholar and Professor at the National Defense University where he teaches officers from all defense services.
Newt is a coalition member of the Project on National Security Reform.
Newt has been endorsed by Col. Oliver North.
I have no doubt that my son, who gave his life in service, would be proud to serve under this man. My grandson, who has had offers from the Navy and the Air Force, but does not want to serve under Obama, says he will be on board if we have a President Gingrich.
ROFLOL! That's right, those “blue collar” attorney's from upper middle class, who have never held a dirt gathering job in their life, are sure in tune with those factory workers, especially if they belong to one of the Big Unions that Santorum has gone to bat for over the years.
My heartfelt condolences go out to you! There is no greater sacrifice to give than what you have had to endure. I cannot express the sense of rapport I feel towards you, since I have been there myself. I am one of the lucky ones and it was every bit as difficult for me, to see a close friend not make it home to his family. It pains me to know what you have had to endure that tragedy.
I salute you and bestow all the honor of my creed upon you! There is a Brotherhood that understands what you have given for all of us, and we will always hold you high above all other things, especially our own selfish pride, since there is no greater gift to give for the love of your country and family than what you have so unselfishly given!

Those who had stood in the line of fire often have a more sobering view of how we choose our leaders. When sacrifice has been made, there is no longer a shallow attitude toward choosing our President.
I always read with interest your posts here, and now understand more clearly why you echo the cry in my heart for a leader worthy of being our Commander in Chief. It makes me proud that we have both chosen Newt Gingrich.
Newt is a guy who went out of his way to avoid miltary service. If they want a president who is going to govern in the mode of Reagan, and by that I mean homosexuals out and women away from combat, then they would be wise to vote for Santorum in my estimation.
I am listening to a speech right now that Rick is giving in Kalamazoo, MI. He has been talking for at least 15 minutes thus far, and has yet to say one substantive thing.
Sit down with a Newt supporter and you’d better have at least a half hour, because his Energy Plan alone will take that long. This one plan can do more to create jobs, positively impact our national security, and pay off our national debt than anything proposed by all the empty blathering of the other candidates. It comes down to substance over platitudes, workable plans vs. empty rhetoric.
For me, it has been an easy choice and I have not wavered regardless of the polls or negative ads. If Ronald Reagan were alive today, he’d be voting for Newt and so would my son.
If Ronald Reagan were in the oval office today he’d be reversing the social experimentation in the miltary; Santorum would as well, Romney and Newt won’t.
