The field is set.
Tony Stewart won the first Duel under caution and Matt Kenseth took the checkered in a caution-free second event to set the lineup for Sunday's Daytona 500.

Who will ride a lucky airstream to Victory Lane on Sunday?
Will the field get Smoke'd again?

The Weather Channel gave the race a 50-50 chance. I sure hope they can run it today!
The End is Near... The End is Near... the Waldrip brothers are on the air... together...
I’m mostly blind here, I took out the Satellite 2 months ago so I don’t get pre race anymore...
As long as you get the race, that’s probably not a bad thing.
Ready to ROCK!
Good morning/afternoon! Ready to go for the 2012 season!
I got rid of my cable TV in January, so I am going to attempt to watch the race online via TVPC.com. The fact that I can even watch the race at all is due to my oldest girl child being home sick from church. “Sure, Mommy...I can stay home. Don’t worry about me.”
Aaaaauuuurrrrggggghhhhh! Mrs p6 is watching “Herbie” movie on the big TV and I’m banished to the bedroom until it’s over. Hopefully that will be by noon!
OK...
Who besides me doesn’t want to see the image of a wrecked and burning Santorum Car on the Daily Show this week??
I think this is such a BAD PR idea.
The skies are wet, the crowd is wet.
Looks like a wait and see kind of opener.. Great for ducks and fish, not so for 4-t’ar critters that roar at 300 mph..
Other than that.. pre-race show is on FoX now ..
It’s Daytona!! The 500 or a chunk of 500.. ;-) PinG!
“Got our pkg for the Vegas race yesterday”
Went out to Vegas for the ill-fated Indy Car race at Vegas. It’s a GREAT place to see a race, even better than Indy, I think.
Word of advice:
Park on the backside of the track, then exit NORTH, coming back south at the exit a few miles North of the track. You’ll literally save 1-2 hours.
8 years ago.. wow..
A “Half-way Payday”? Interesting.
If TVPC doesn’t work try http://www.firstrowsports.eu/sport/motosport.html .
It’s working so far, but thank you!
Have you seen?? Barf bag alert.

Dear NASCAR fans,
With the Daytona 500 now upon us, I hope you are as excited as I am to see the greatest drivers in the world competing at Daytona International Speedway later Sunday.
NASCAR is in a very good place right now and our entire industry is working very hard for you, the fans, as we continually seek to improve and grow our sport. Indeed, we are listening to you, as several enhancements that have been put in place in recent years were a direct result of your input.
Thank you for your ongoing support and enthusiasm, the way you wholeheartedly embrace NASCAR and how you share your passion for our sport with family, friends and others you encounter each and every day. We certainly were encouraged by the excitement generated by our 2011 season and look forward to enjoying this season together as one NASCAR Nation.
On behalf of the France family, I want to personally express our appreciation for your support, and join you in anticipation of the thrilling ride ahead.
Best Regards,
Brian France
So....does anyone think we’re gonna get any racing done today? Not liking that rain.....
I don’t know, it’s a couple hours away from clearing that area altho there are winds soooo.. but the forecast for the next 48-72 has a lot of moisture potential in it..
If they can’t do it today, will they try again tomorrow?
They got lights...this race could last all day, through the OSKARS and beyond!
I gotta travel tomorrow so it better get ‘er done today...
