Rick Santorum appears to be gearing up for a showdown.
In remarks to about 250 supporters in the auditorium of a Masonic lodge, the surging Republican presidential hopeful and former Pennsylvania senator didnt directly refer to any of his recent campaign-trail statements that have drawn controversy.
-snip-
The audience applauded, as did the man, who earlier in the speech was holding up a sign that read, Drudge wants Mitt. AZ picks Rick.

Keep praying. We are up against PHENOMINAL powers and interests here, both seen and unseen. It is going to get very, very tough for one Rick Santorum. However, he is proving he has the guts and mettle to withstand, and take this fight straight to the gates of hell if necessary, to right our sorry Ship of State. I for one have high hopes he gets the mocking, cynical, liberal, libertine mocking questions from CNN about faith. Rick will drive a telephone pole right smack through the midsections of these idiots and traitors in the MSM...

Far more than elder....he was a Bishop.
Good. A defiant response is exactly what is called for. No one will vote for a candidate who apologizes all the time.
Slow server. Sorry!!

I like that image. I heard him do that to Bob Scheiffer, so he has it in him. He even brought up Obama’s legislative indifference to infanticide. I hope he keeps bringing it up.
I agree. Santorum is sounding like a right wing nut. Address Obama and not each other and the press. and please keep Satan out of it!!
The Leftist “Mainstream” for Obama media will be all over Romney if he wraps up the nomination, and they will run with every real or phoney belief that people fear about the Mormon religion.
Their attempt at making Santorum look nutty will be dwarfed by their assault on Mitt. Meanwhile, they will continue to ignore the Rev. “not so” Wright, black liberation theology, muslim connections and the questions about obama’s homosexuality.
Don't you mean, they won't vote for a candidate who apologizes domestically all the time.
I do love this picture of him with his youngest daughter. The love in that little girls face toward her daddy can not be faked. This is the picture that has swung the lady vote.
Yeah...and 20 years in "Rev" White's pew....
....those chickens sure are coming home to roost
Last line in the article: “The danger for Santorum? He risks alienating independent voters by keeping the focus on of some of his outside-the-mainstream remarks.”
Yeah, right, “outside-the-mainstream” of the average mainstream-media-journalist, that is; way outside. But maybe pretty mainstream when it come to the average American voter, eh?
The average journalist in this country, especially among the East/West Coasters, has no clue the impact religion has on the majority of people in this country, so they figure Santorum is just plain loon crazy to be defending himself, and picking on them while doing so. It’s a fight they’re not likely to win, and could cost them another few percent of their readership in their long, inevitable, slide to a profit-free, and salary-free, environment. Soon may it come.
Yes, and mainstream does not necessarily mean good or correct. At one point being anti-slavery was out of the mainstream, as was being in favor of women having the right to vote. When the left is way outside of the mainstream then it is seen as bold, daring, modern, avant garde, smart. For example, gay marriage is outside the mainstream, but that does not make it weird or bad from the media’s point of view. Their standard is that if they agree with it, it is good and if they don’t agree with it, it is bad. Really smart and objective journalism.
