While most voters continue to strongly support border control to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into this country, they also remain concerned that legal citizens will be caught up inadvertently in these efforts.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 59% of Likely U.S. Voters are at least somewhat concerned that efforts to identify and deport illegal immigrants will also end up violating the civil rights of some U.S. citizens.

If the legal immigrant community were to do what is expected of legal immigrants and citizens i.e. help keep the illegals from being here such a concern would be much, much less.
To the 59% (if the poll can be believed) to be merely asked to prove one’s citizenship is a violation of his/her rights. I’d welcome being asked. And that goes for at the polls as well.

Add one more to your polling sample, LOL.

Thanks...and now my results have moved to 104.75%! :-)
I’ve never had experiences that bad, but once was in a city a thousand miles from home and was pulled over by the cops when I knew I hadn’t violated any traffic laws. They spent at least 20 minutes on their car radio checking me out I suppose. They finally let me go after what was nothing but a fishing expedition because I had a tag from a state far away.
That was car tag profiling and should be legal, even if it is pretty irritating. It probably turns up a wanted man or woman now and then.
“Waassappining”
Isn’t that the name of the place where the New York prison is located?
What this means is that the few who do actually have home phones, caller ID, answer 1-800 numbers and during dinner, are so desperate to talk to someone, anyone, I'm not surprised that they "fear efforts to deport illegal (aliens) immigrants will violate civil rights of citizens."
Most of those polled aren't paying taxes anyway, so why be concerned about their thinking of civil rights being violated of those who "violate our civil rights" by stealing our IDs, jobs and fleece us blind.
Work the numbers, for starters.
