Rush Predicts Newt Comeback
NewsMax ^ | February 20, 2012

...Telling his listeners that the polls indicated MittRomney would likely lose the Michigan primary, the conservative icon said he wouldn’t be surprised if Romney’s demise gives Gingrich yet another opportunity to be frontrunner. Another great performance by Gingrich in a debate could turn the race around once again, Limbaugh said.

“I think there's a possibility of something happening nobody's talking about -- and that's the reemergence of Newt. Keep a sharp eye. Anything's still possible,” Limbaugh said.

“If Romney has trouble in Michigan... Now, PublicPolicyPolling is a very liberal polling group out of North Carolina. They say that Romney's gaining ground, and he could well be. A slew of negative ads are being run against Santorum, and they work. Negative ads have always been shown to work, and Romney's gaining ground back in Michigan. Of course, the Republican establishment would be turned upside down if he loses in Michigan, because that's his what, second or third home state? And his dad was governor there. ...

“If Romney falters in Michigan, the guy to look at as perhaps having a chance to get back in this big time is NewtGingrich,” Limbaugh said. “Do you realize there hasn't been a debate in a month? There has not been a debate, and look at what impact that could be having on the polls, 'cause there haven't been any primaries, either. But look at the impact no debates are having. So if Romney doesn't do as expected, then of course the Republican Party establishment's gonna panic and think, ‘Oh, my gosh, we need somebody new now,’ because none of the others are suitable to them. Including Newt. Newt's not suitable to them, either. But the debates are gonna kick back in again once we get close to Michigan and then we've got Super Tuesday.

“Newt’s record as Speaker of the House was excellent. No one comes close to the great accomplishments of Gingrich.”

Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1995 to 1998; U.S. representative from Georgia from 1979 to 1998

Newt Gingrich has a long record of pro-life.

As a member of Congress, Gingrich voted 70 times to 71, 98.7% pro-life.

He voted 10 times to bar the city of Washington, D.C., to provide money for abortions.

He voted to eliminate the nation’s family-planning program, Title X. This is the same attack that the U.S. House of Representatives advanced in 2011. (Santorum voted NO)

Gingrich promises to be an active pro-life president:

“You had a great speaker last year in Mike Pence and I want to say I strongly endorse his cutting out all funding for Planned Parenthood, which has become a major source of abortion in America.”

He promised to reinstate Ronald Reagan “Mexico” bill - no American money for abortion programs in foreign countries.

"The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves, and then we shall save our country." - President Abraham Lincoln, Message to Congress, December, 1862

Why We Need A 21st Century Contract with America, by Newt Gingrich

"This quote from Abraham Lincoln is appropriate because the crisis we face is deeper and broader than any crisis since the 1860s.

The 2012 election is not a political election in any normal sense of ambitious people competing for power within an accepted framework of values and principles.

It is an historic election in which the outcome will potentially change the nature of America for generations to come.

No simple set of slogans or “jobs programs” or poll driven gimmicks will meet the needs of America in 2012.

Consider the realities of our time:"

A possible thing that could happen is not a prediction, but time will tell.

That interview, much like the ‘end of the Reagan era’ and the NY-23 endorsement are major blackmarks on Newt’s recent record

There's no doubt that Newt has strengths. Problem is his unpredictability.

That unpredictability is what it made it so hard to prosecute Clinton during impeachment also.

So why then did Gingrich bash the plan and have to apologize to Ryan for doing so?

That's what I mean...he's unpredictable.

I have been tied up for the day and haven't been able to respond til now. You haven't researched Newt's thoughts on Rep Ryan's budget. Newt thought it was a great piece of legislation and said if able to he would vote for it. His comment on social engineering had nothing to do with his opinion on Ryan's budget. You also don't give people with money very much credit. I don't know what you financial status is but people with money have either inherited it, won it in a lottery, or in addition have earned it. Adelman was willing to risk a tidy fortune that the casino he was building in Vegas would be a success. Did he have a guarantee of success?? No!! That's risk taking. He laid it on the line because he had ideas you and I didn't have nor would be willing to risk. He also was able to determine that there was a need and he provided it. And finally he had the ability to find solutions to problems. Michael Moore might be an idiot, but he recognized a need, and he filled it. It doesn't matter what side of the political coin you fit, it matters that you recognize a problem, think of a solution and finally are willing to risk capital to solve it and reap the rewards. That's why I give so much credit to those who have bucks$$$$$$. As other examples, Howard Hughes, Donald Trump both had parents that had money which they then used to build empires from their own initiatives and ideas. Adelman thinks evidently that Newt is the one to solve the problem we are presently in. Amen.

While Santorum is talking about socisl issues, it is the left / media ( but I repeat myself) who is framing his words to mean he will rule over people’s privates live. He is clearly saying he won’t.

No? I'm not sure how else to take this...

"This whole idea of personal autonomy, well I don’t think most conservatives hold that point of view. Some do. They have this idea that people should be left alone, be able to do whatever they want to do, government should keep our taxes down and keep our regulations low, that we shouldn’t get involved in the bedroom, we shouldn’t get involved in cultural issues. You know, people should do whatever they want. Well, that is not how traditional conservatives view the world and I think most conservatives understand that individuals can’t go it alone."

Hmmm, Santorum’s “Bloody Thursday” is coming up, isn’t it? I guess this is the Not Romney gauntlet run. I can’t believe Drudge is crapping all over conservatives again. Weird election cycle.

If you’ve been on this forum for the past three months or so, you should realize we don’t have an idea in the hot place about what’s gonna happen.

We’ve made so many positive statements that have been wrong that it’s ridiculous.

As I said, it was taken out of context. The left is showing us how much they fear Mister NOOT by their attacks & misrepresentations on him. They fool people who don’t realize what they are dealing with, which is illustrated in this link. Good Luck, & I hope this helps:

Do any of you know if the debate that was scheduled for tomorrow evening is still on? I had heard that it was, then heard that Romney, Santorum and Paul backed out. Then heard again today on FOX that there was to be a debate on the 22nd. Just wonder if it is and what time and network.
