Rick Santorum Questions Obama's Christian Values ["Phony Theology" "Not..Based On Bible"]

Rick Santorum Questions Obama's Christian Values By STEVE PEOPLES — White House candidate Rick Santorum on Saturday questioned President Barack Obama's Christian values and attacked GOP rival Mitt Romney's Olympics leadership as he courted tea party activists and evangelical voters in Ohio, "ground zero" in the 2012 nomination fight.

Santorum, a former Pennsylvania senator known for his social conservative policies, said that Obama's agenda is "not about you. It's not about your quality of life. It's not about your jobs. It's about some phony ideal. Some phony theology. Not a theology based on the Bible.

A different theology."

Trailing Romney in money and campaign resources, Santorum is depending on the tea party movement and religious groups to deliver a victory March 6 in Ohio, one of Super Tuesday's biggest prizes.

More delegates will be awarded in Ohio than in any other state except Georgia in the opening months of the Republican campaign. Ohio and Georgia are two of the 10 contests scheduled for March 6, a benchmark for the primary campaign that often decides who can continue to the next level.

Even as he criticized Obama, Santorum also went after one of Romney's most promoted achievements — his leadership at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City.

The funds raised in these FReepathons go to pay our current quarter expenses. But we're also going to try to replace some of our older servers and failing equipment this year so we're going to add a little extra to our FReepathon goals. John is estimating ten to fifteen thousand to do this and I'd like to get it all in place and working before the election cycle is fully heated up, so we'll try to bring in a little extra now, if we can, and the rest next quarter.

That whole saving the Olympics was always bunk from Willard.

He begged for and obtained the earmark.

Can’t wait for the next debate.

This is why Rick is in first place.

No one, and I mean NO ONE who sat in “Rev” Wright’s “Church” for 20 years is a Christian.

And that point can’t be overemphasized.

“Not a theology based on the Bible.” = CORRECT as we can see from Hussein’s own mealy mouthed words: http://blog.christianitytoday.com/ctpolitics/2008/11/obamas_fascinat.html

That said, Santorum is making a mistake weighing in on this, IMO.

You are so right. The last thing Rick needed to do at this point was make this point. Correct point? Yes. But really bad judgement and timing .

Didn’t Steffie Stephanopoulos already establish that fact back in 2008 when he interviewed Bambi and was told that he (Bambi) was a muslim?

As a good lefty correspondent Steffie corrected Obama to tell him that he was a Christian.

Wrong, guys. Rick needs to speak the truth — it’s now or never.

The truth is out on the table about the Great Deceiver, The One, The Zer0. Such Christian heresies as Social Justice and Liberation Theology must be opposed by every Christian.

For a good treatise on Liberation Theology, read Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger’s analysis:

Finally, a candidate who will take it to our Marxist in residence.

So? He said he’s a muslim. I heard him say that to Stephanopoulous.
I don’t care what his theology is but Santorum just gave the media a fresh clip.

I don’t want a “religious nut” in the Oval Office and that’s what the media will paint Santorum as now. Whether he is or not.

No doubt Obama is not a Christian as the term is usually defined, but the problem is, nobody thinks this is a campaign issue. Independents will be turned off by what they will see as pointless sectarian bickering. 'Rats will use this as further evidence that Santorum is a religious extremist zealot who wants to rule other people's private lives.

And it opens up yet one more avenue for the media to make Santorum the issue instead of obama. No media whore will ask on Sunday morning, "Is obama really a Christian?" Rather, they will ask, "Is Santorum going too far with his religiouus extremism?"

This simpleton just refuses to learn. Bad idea, Santorum. Very bad idea.

Heck, all he has to do is put Eric Metaxas’ remarks during the NPB. Just make that theme his own.

This should be a very minor point if the campaign. Economix and liberty issue should be forefront.

So what?!

obama shows no reverence for any religion(s) other than islam and black theology.

In this case, Santorum is right.

Obama only goes to church for photo opps during politically sensitive times, like re-elections.

What don’t you get? Obama’s whole world view is like Wright’s “Liberation theology.” His whole concept of the role of the state, of religion, his views on capitalism. The whole of your list. It all goes back to this “phoney theology,” even his anthropology —his concept of who is a human being. All derived from Hegel and Marx.

That will be Santorum’s undoing. He simply can't understand that there are things and times, he needs to keep his mouth shut about.

When he is ahead, he gets arrogant and pompous. And that really turns most regular Americans off.

Not only Santorum. The media will also come after anyone who supports him. “Do you agree with the Senator that President Obama is not a Christian?” It will make lots of people think twice about him.

Look, I’m not a Santorum fan (I’m a big Newt supporter) but a lot of us have been counting on him to help knock out Romney, especially in Michigan. Couldn’t he button it on the social issues for a couple of measly weeks??? Now the Tuesday debate will be all about his religious comments.
